I contemplated, in greater depth, parting company with my beloved R53. Help, someone confirm or intervene!

Would it be for Zillon's GP2? Because that car is remarkably kept...

Yep. I'm teetering and need to look at some $ figures before I commit. I'm paying for a wedding in March...

Tell them to elope! Then you can get the GP and keep the R53 too.
Someone needs to get their priorities straight! :biggrin5:

Picked up my R53 after finally getting passenger side air bag seat mat replaced at MINIs expense. Had a new 4 door to use for 2 days. Realized how glad I am that I had my much smaller and better looking 2005.

Yesterday Bitsy Mae was dropped off at the dealership to get some work done, nothing serious, bushings mostly. My loaner car is a 2015 S hardtop. It's a completely different can when compared to my R56. It's softer, feels slower and I dont care for the interior. Is it a bad car? No. Is it a bad MINI? Possibly. I wonder if R53 owners feel the same way about the R56 as I do about the F56, personally I havent driven an R53 but as far as looks go, they are different, BUT similar at least, lil bigger not much, and my S rides super firm compared to this F56. Also the front and rear... I just dont care for it.

I do not think the R56 is that different than my R53. The R56 is just more refined than my Mini.

I wish I could give you an opinion, but the only MINI I have ever driven is my 2005 R52 S. :(

Today I took the Porker up in the snow for some scenic photos... There's quite a few good ones I've done edits of, but I'm only going to post a few here... (Unless everyone wants to see them all)

Yes this road is as steep and twisty as it looks... I've used it as a test area for suspension setups in the past, but now there is normally too much traffic or bicycles to even think about it in the summer. It was fun drifting the Porker around the switchbacks today though!

    Said switchbacks...

Drove home from the folks place, after spending Thanksgiving up there. Then stopped at Lowe's to grab a replacement faucet for the bathroom sink. Whoever the genius was that ran the drain pipe through the shelf under the sink was an @$$. Needless to say, said shelf was not reinstalled. Finished off the replacement, tweaked a couple of connections to eliminate the leaks. All better now.

Nah, just kick it to the side of the road.

British cars are designed to shed parts and keep going.

When I asked my father-in-law to marry his daughter (it was 32 years ago and yes I'm old school) he said he'd decorate the ladder.
