Praying and hoping for a "Christmas Miracle". R50 is at the "Doctor" and the diagnosis looks pretty iffy. :cryin:

I want some snow! Send some this way next week. Christmas without snow just doesn't seem right. Unless your from the south that is.

Nothing. I've been working away from home for the last 6 - 7 weeks, and the Coop is under a dust cover in my garage. Plus I'm driving a rental POS Camry. Oh, the humanity!!!

Picked up my car from my friend's shop (actually did it yesterday). He had called and said I didn't really need front brakes so he put everything back and said he'll do it next time and didn't charge me for it. He did the rear brakes, brake fluid flush, oil change, installed the engine mount. I think MINI charged me an hour and something for the engine mount 5 years ago. My friend charged me .8 hrs. Considering the age and mileage of my car, he recommended a few things I should consider for next time I bring the car in.

Then gave me a package of chocolates and short bread cookies and said Merry Christmas. :)

Did a pre-plan with my buddy for my R53 suspension upgrade project. I'll be installing the Greene camber plates, GP trailing arms and new sway bar end links. I need to get the bushings and end links, and am still pondering what to do with the struts. I'm leaning heavily towards Colin's coil overs...

Drove Babs Clubman Skooby over to the holiday donut munch. Great seeing all our friends there. Afterward we took a fine country road drive to the G&R in Waldo. A beautiful day in these parts. :D

Went out to take my 11yo grandson to see Star Wars. Just him and me...BUT, the batttery in Pepper was deader than a doornail. Seems some idiot didn't turn off the parking lights. :) Got home and jump started it and everything seems fine except my scangauge which lights up...but doesn't display anything. I am going to take the battery out tomorrow and charge it. That will reboot the computers,,,am I right?

BTW...is it safe to leave the lights on Auto? Thanks

This one has about 58k, but it has had road course experience [2-2 day schools] as well as MOTD [5 times]. The track experience and early MOTDs were before I knew that the CVT was an iffy transmission. I drive it sparingly now....mostly to and from BCDs like Mini Meet East and ones locally. I don't know how hard your members drive theirs, but mine has seen some "use".

It went into limp mode about 2 months ago as I was driving home from downtown...wouldn't go over 25 mph with the pedal to the floor. I had it flat bedded to Columbus, OH...to Best Motor Werks and later to the dealer [MAG, in Dublin, OH]. The drain plug was frozen and the fill plug was stuck as if it had been incorrectly installed. Best refused to work on it so I sent it to the dealer. They managed to get the plugs out and replaced...thus saving me over $6k for a replacement transmission. It's good to go now and my drive home was nice and relieved.
