I had some concerns about that too, but after talking with the tech at NM I decided to stick with the low setting for now. They have tested it with MCS, FJCW, and cars with the JCW tune and had no adverse effects. He said the only problem they had was when in first gear the high setting with 300+ ft lbs of torque the electronic "LSD" would sometimes have trouble adapting and go to reduced power. The reason I went with the tuning kit plus NM module vs an aftermarket exhaust and the module was the info with dyno tests provided by this guy. (link below) After putting only ~150 miles on it since the install I can say the only problems I've had is the lack of traction. I guess when I get new wheels I'll try 225's and see if it's any improvement over the 215's I'm now running. Is the NM Eng. Power Module The New Pulley? | MotoringFun.com
Give a guy a hint Dave.0 Do you mean a super nice summer sticky tire for Vetsvette, say an Nitto NT-01 or Hankook RS3 in the 215 size? Or maybe those Dunlops you love.
I got rid of the factory tires within a week of getting the car. It came with Hankook run flats and they sucked. I'm running Goodyear F1 all season tires now because I drive the car year round. When I get new wheels I can think about sticky summer tires and then use the stock wheels for winter tires. I'm sticking with either Goodyear or Dunlop because I get a 25% discount on their tires since I retired from GT&R.
Babs is a dirty girl..... Today I got to drive Skooby the clubster to the car warsh. Seems Babs thinks she is still driving her Subaru. She loves playing in the dirt for sure. Maybe I need to change the grill badge from plays with mud to keeps my car clean.
Its raining........and a big box came for me...........I wish it wasn't raining...........so I could put this on the Runt
I have put in an exhaust at curbside in the rain, and not in summer, either. Didn't think it was going to, then halfway through, .... I wouldn't want to do it again.
Well I could put it in the garage but the dog will go bonkers thinking I am taking her to the dog park. It will be sunny and 35 degrees tomorrow
Ok I AM A MANLY MAN! the exhaust is on!! I ran out of light so tomorrow I will have to make some adjustments. but I sure sound good.
Put the snows on one of our MINIs [just in case] and checked the battery. need to check the fluids and washer fluid levels as well as add the new license tags tomorrow
Started the day off with a run in the Porker up the back way into Estes park... There were really no places plowed to pull over, but I found a few... Best pictures of the day... Then went down Big Thompson Canyon into Loveland on the way home. There was absolutely no place to stop, but the drive was beautiful! Messed around at home for a little bit, then headed down to Fort Carson to have dinner with my army guys before they ship off to Kuwait. All in all it was a fun day... Tomorrow I'll be working on a friends R53... Got to get it ready for the trip to the Dragon!
Not today, but yesterday my daughter and I went for part of a nice drive with our local club. We had a great time. She was responsible for the camera. lol.
