Mine lives outside, right now it has an inch of ice cocooning it......and I'll have to chip it out later today.
Go to Cabelas or Bass Pro, get one of those meat preserving/sucker/shrinkage things, that would do the trick. Might have to toss the MINI into boiling water to get the wrap off. :frown2: I wish I had the space..... Don
Took the Porker down to the other house down by the Royal Gorge today so I could get the plates/registration renewed... Nice clear drive the whole way, just a bit of wind from the storms trying to come over the mountains. The new siding and roof the parents put on last summer look great! Their choice of interior color, not so much! Talk about getting a headache! Hit Skyline Drive on the way back into Canyon City... Hard to believe I survived highschool, because there were many Saturday night time trials going 100+ MPH over the top of this "road" (Sorry for the dirty/sand blasted windshield, but that's Colorado life. ) Stopped at the parking area (our old finish line) for a few pictures... Nice to see the signs that someone still has the balls to race up there! Then it was down to the court house to give Colorado $541.00 so I can drive this year... Such a ripoff living here!
Two comments.. $541 is pretty inexpensive. Get a load of the insurance rates here in BC. My MINI costs $1700 a year. Where's all the snow I was expecting to see ? ostcount
Insurance is $650 every 6 months for me here... The $541 was just for the registration slip, and a sticker for the license plate! Then if you live around the Denver metro area, it's another $25 for a worthless emissions test! It's supposed to snow tonight...
Nope, El Paso county is thinking about it (because they need more money) like Weld county did a few years ago... The state caught on to all the Denver area hot rodders, and just want their cut. Freemont county is so small, and has a very small population to it, that I should be good until I move far far away from this place.
Modfather great scenery and pics. Some states just charge a fee for registration others, Indiana for one, charges based on the value of the vehicle.
I bet that means that Indiana has an inordinate number of rusted out Chrysler mini vans held together with nutcase stickors.... I'm staying away from Indiana with my MINI...
VA charges you for the re-registration very year depending on what type of plate you have. But, you can't RR the vehicle until all your personal property taxes are paid up.
