That sounds like a great trip. I've along through there a couple of times, unfortunately not driving anything fun. Looking forward to the pics.
Somewhere I have a pic of me standing in all 4 states from 28 years ago. It was the first time I was out west. Until you've driven out there you just don't realize how big this country is.
Somewhere I have a 1989 picture of my new bride and me standing at Haight-Ashbury in Buena Vista Park and I was in a state of mind.... We eloped....
Ordered some suspension bits today. Got tired of waiting for Swift to come out with springs, so I went with NM springs, rear sway bar, and end links. Waiting for Helix to do a fitting to find out if their adjustable control arms will fit. I hope to get everything sorted out before MOTD.
Unboxed the DDMWorks intake today, stuff for the brake bleeder came in too. Weekend going to be busy. Also bought a proper Mini rear brake caliper retraction tool. How many special Mini only tools do you own? I'm up to three now.
Got some bad news from my MINI shop.........Koni yellows are broke. Apparently my 1 yr old Koni's have decided that the spring perch is not req'd to be secured to the damper. Time to see how well Koni's customer service is.
Removed the stock intake silencer on my Justa. I need to make a new bracket as this one is ugly. It definitely added a nice growl through the RPM range.
Yeah.... But getting airborne over railroad tracks is soooo much fun... Hope Koni comes through for you... I would think they should...
Koni will not do crap right away. Had them, they failed, waited for ever for replacements, ordered coil overs instead. Not a fan of Koni at all.
In the middle of installing my ASTs. Replacing Koni Yellows. First time messing with coilovers. I ordered front and rear end links from Detroit Tuned.
Just finished installing the AWE Tuning CF intake system and re-installed my NM Power Module. The intake looks and sounds great. Thanks to Josh at AWE for the great customer service. I didn't realize how much I missed my power module until I re-installed it. Put about 30-40 miles on it so the ECU could relearn and it screams again! Next up is installing all the suspension goodies. They won't arrive for a few days anyway, but I'm still gonna wait until Helix releases their adjustable control arms before I start on the suspension. Eric says they should be out for the Dragon. Correction: That means the Helix intercooler is next up, since I'm taking delivery and having it installed at the Dragon.
Finally installed my new OMP HTE-R XL halo seat, and took it for a drive. What a difference! Awesome.
Yea....not impressed with the Koni yellow. Spring perch actually spins around the body now. Looking at the Bilstien coilovers.
