Put a new one O these in last night. So shiny Still have a clunking though. I'm thinking I'll have to do the driver side as well, dammit.
Local shop ordered 75w90 MT oil instead of 75w80 like i asked. Can i still use it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Stuck on some tire letters tonight,it turned out ok. Wish they woulda came in one piece sections, next time I gotta read that fine print
Looking good Qik! I was running lettered tires before they were cool again when I had my R50... Thinking of doing it again when I get a new set for the Rat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've always liked white wall's, lettered and striped! I had them on my 80' Z28 and 68'C10. Almost got the nascar yellow letter slicks for the Z(was a phase) but those ******* are f'n esspensive. Also, For a few years I was rocking a black 1990 Vandura panel van, I had some REAL Crager S/S's(deep dish in the rear), not that new ugly thing they're trying to pass off as S/S's. You should put some on the Rat. A buddy of mine is getting CORNER WHORE lettering for his.. Can't wait to see what you get :cornut:
I loaded my '70 in the trailer In prep for the trip to the British Extravaganza at Buttonwilllow this weekend. It is the Queen's birthday after all...
Drove it to my sister's place to borrow her CRV to pick up a new (used) sunroof for the MINI. Thanks again Zillon.
The right front pad is down to 1 mm and the caliper is stuck, plus the rear brake lines are almost rusted thru on the S and I gotta drive to get it fixed....brrrrr. The tranny in the R50 [cvt] has decided to not work anymore, as of yesterday [runs but does not "shift" in any mode]. So, both cars are in the garage and I'm driving my wife's when she is not out and about. Fortunately/unfortunately, I have only one more long distance tow left for the year, so it looks as if the Cooper will get it.
Have it flat bedded and put both MINI's on it..... Wouldn't that count as the last tow of the year? A twofer?
Took the 11 Countryman to the dealer on Thursday, it was puddling a little slick fluid in the garage. Turned out the water pump was going bad, a weep through the weep hole, just enough. I knew it was not oil, oil was black as tar at 8 months, water pump out at 51,650 or so. Extended warranty replaced the water pump, oil was changed on my dime, V-belt was getting frayed, changed on my dime. I got out for $299 and a bit of change. Good god labor is high at the MINI stores. The $$ include my pay out of $50 deductible for the gold 100K warranty. Hope to get the 11 to 90K, it is paid for..... As an aside, Pat had to drive my Park Lane, she really, really likes it, said something about swapping MINIs. Nope! Don Btw, wonderful weather here in Colorado after last weekends 16 inches of Snow. Hit 77 today!
The Cooper will have to wait awhile...at least til I pay off my looming credit card bill with the MCS' charges. I'll drive veeery slowly to MAG with the S as I do NOT want the brakes to fail on the way over. Sometime in June, the Cooper will get its flat bed trek for a tranny redo.
