My car is ready for the Dragon so all I did was take it out for a run today and got it covered in pollin. Came home and washed it.
Drove 265 mies to Asheville this morning. Beautiful day for a drive. Only saw two Mini's on the drive.
Drove my Classic 10 laps around Buttonwillow this afternoon during the lunch break. Next best thing to being the real deal...
It started on Friday. After getting most of the adhesive off the roof from the flag there was some kind of over spray all over the paint and windows of the car, this was Monday, washing would not remove it. So I had to drive to work and leave it. Now Friday. I went and got some 3M adhesive remover and got the rest of the flag off. I found out the 3M stuff would also get the other stuff off the paint, so I went over the hole car. Then washed it with Dawn dish washing soap. Some revive Dave! So Saturday I get up to clay and wax the car but decided I would do the Dave.0 plastic treatment first. So I did the first coat and clayed and waxed the roof and tail gate as the plastic dried. I had to stop because my daughters car needed an alternate replaced. So here it is Sunday and I am still cleaning on my car! I must be channeling you Dave!
Started the MINI after a dead battery (some idiot left the lights on). Put the trailer mostly together. And it's a beautiful day out ,so, screw cleaning, I'm going driving...
Drove to work, drove home. Looked at all my parts gathering. Just a few more and a free weekend to get him running and driving the way i want Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well I finished the clay and wax finally...............and put a long scratch down the rear hatch............all the way through the paint:mad2:
Went out for a nice country road drive in my little roadster. It was such a beautiful day I couldn't resist. Life is good.
I had a shade tent over it with the hatch open. I hit it when I was taking it down.:incazzato: Now that's dam funny............smart a$$:lol:
Took a nice drive down to Hocking Hills to shack down the car and driver before heading off to the Dragon.
Went to Hocking Hills, with mrntd and Drove my car like never before...it was completely a new experience for me.. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
Ummm why did you not move the car before taking down the pop up tent? :mad2::mad2::mad2: :idea:
left the car at the stealership for PS pump recall. Lots of fat overweight Minis in for service. Tech very happy to drive something cool into the shop, although he was more interested in the Gary Fisher bicycle I pulled out of the back of the R53 than the car.
Everyone makes mistakes... Just look at my track record with women! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think you're being way to hard on yourself......your not stupid you just did an incredibly dumb thing and then spilled the beanz on yourself !!
big mistake to do the recall - picked up the car just before closing and then a half mile into it realized they broke something. It idles like a cold diesel and 1st to second gear shifts go with a loud bang, plus in my drive way the thing sounded like something was going to fall off the suspension or exhaust. Jacking it up now to find out what they forgot. My best guess is the lower engine mount is missing, or something else is completely off down there. He told me on the way out the pump is now in the way of my Fumoto engine drain plug. Huh?
