There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's not too bad. When using the heat gun less is more, but there's a bunch of 3M videos on the youtubes that help with techniques on how to work the vinyl. The headlight rings were harder to do then the headlights. A little patients goes a long way when working with this stuff. It definitely looks better than dip.
I refer to my car as a she, but SHE is a bull-dyke so SHE will never wear eyelashes. Give her a cutoff flannel amd cargo shorts then maybe.
Amazon, it's a gloss 3M Vinyl. I just ordered some more from Amazon, but went with the brand Vivid. Gonna redo what I've already done since it was my first attempt at vinyl. Turned out pretty good, but I think the next time around will be better.
Growing my family gave cars and boats girl names, and trucks boy names. We had alot of Buicks, Oldsmobiles and at least 3 Z28's at one point :beer
My wife named her new one Beatrix - after Beatrix Kiddo in Kill Bill. The last one was named Nigel - after Nigel Powers. I don't name my cars. And if I do, it's not with human names. The Egg. Project R53. The GP. Etc.
Bitsy Mae is after Bitsy Mae of the movie Sordid Lives. The angry lesbian who burned her abusive ex-husbands house down. She went to prison for arson, then got out and sang some great songs at a dive bar about said husband and other undesirables Role played by Olivia Newton-John
The Mistress in not a "she", the car is a "Evil B!tch" and she acts like one. I point and LMFAO every time I see cars with silly eyelashes on them. They are just as stupid as antlers and red noses on cars at Christmas.
Me and the Mini just got back home from Asheville, NC. Spotted a lone Countryman and that was it. Saw total of three Mini's on a 500+ mile round trip. They must be all hiding until MOTD.
My MINI is in the garage, insuring that the latest predicted "stormageddon" probably won't happen here. We are under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, a Tornado Watch, a "Special Weather Statement" (WTF?) and a "Hydrologic Statement" (double WTF??). My MINI is in the garage, and I don't live in a mobile home, so we'll probably just get some rain, where I live. CD
You're doing good if a little rain storm is all you're worried about CD... 5 Days and 12 Hours until I leave for the Dragon, and it's been snowing and crappy all day... Supposed to stay that way all weekend too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Red one. Discovered hail damage to my Suburban when I got back. They had golfball size with the occasional baseball size hail in my local area yesterday. So far I've found several dents in the hood and a broken windshield.
Twice this week the weathermen have warned us that really severe weather is coming, and both times Mother Nature has poked them in the eye. CD
