Took it on a great drive Saturday with some friends on river run.

After that it was time for a good bath, clay bar and waxing. The car not me.
I also put on the black grill I got at the Dragon.

Spent most of a hot afternoon last Tuesday with my wife and my dog in my S at an auto repair shop in BFE that was closing for the day. Damned TPMS light wouldn't shut off even after repeated air pressure adjustments on hot tires and button resets. We were about 150 miles from home. Most of the mechanics had left for the day and one remained with the office manager to tidy up before leaving...and that's when WE showed up. Reluctantly, the mechanic agreed to at least check out my car when he finished his last car. They wouldn't accept a credit card for tire service, or so they said. They wanted cash. I had less than $20 to get home on and we have no family or friends in that area...damned c/c reliance! Crap [or some facsimile thereof]. The mechanic said he would look at the car anyway...I think, just to get rid of us. After a hot, agonizing hour he came to tell us that my tires were all ok, that he had done the soapy thing around all the tires and had found no bubbles. He also took the car out for a test drive and saw that the TPMS light was still on. Then he noticed the button was not releasing so he jimmied it free with a small flathead screwdriver and the light went off...took it for another short drive and pronounced us as "good to go". He never charged and we are thankful. He did say that the TPMS button seems to jam easily and asked if there was some way it might have gotten depressed during the day. AHA! Damned DAWG...we love him dearly, but when we are driving he lays down between the front seats and soaks us any a/c or vent air. HE did it as he squirmed into his prone position in front of the vents Lesson learned...now there is a skinny pad between the seats to keep an errant paw/claw from another potential BFE disaster but which still allows for the emergency brake to be used. "All's well that ends well!"

Drove to the range, drove to the DMV, got lotto tickets. :)

    The range was great.

    The DMV was too busy.

Lotto tickets for Colorado I consider a donation to the organizations that get a buck or two.

The CM ran wonderful and I missed the afternoon rains.

    :)

Rotated the Conti DW summer tires left to right. They're half worn
and are a little feathered and noisy especially at 30-40 mph.
Could hear the difference right away.

OK not My Mini but..... So this weekend I was working on my bike. I needed to fit the rear fender and chain guard to make sure they fit before getting them ready to paint. So I decided I might as well put all the peaces on it and see how it looks. You can see the rear fender is all I have left to get ready for paint. Just remember kids when welding up holes on a finder do not rest it on your lap. I have found Jeans will catch fire....and that is no place for a fire.

Drove to the store. Yawn. The MINI is really dirty, and I need to wash it, but it is raining every other day right now. I can't complain, since the reservoirs are full, and in another month, it will stop raining for three months, if not more. Nowadays, it is either flooding or drought.

Today, we found out you can transport a large boxed toilet in the back of a Countryman with lots of room left over.

Only thing it took two people from HD to lift it into the CM, but we were able to take it out just fine and put it into the garage, handyman coming over Monday to install. The final little bit of tile work will be finished, I hope.

I did dust my Countryman today too, pollen is getting worse.

    :)
