I plan on being out n about in me MINI tomorrow. Unless everything is covered in ice. I'd gladly take a foot of snow over an 1/8 of ice.
Pulled the paperwork so Fungo can get her license sticker and be totally legal when she comes out of hibernation.....
After razzing me all week about the flamin' recall, today my boss asked me to give him a lift across town. I said sure. After getting on the road I reached behind the seat and produced a fire extinguisher. Told him to hold on to it an to be ready to jump out quickly.
:cornut: Again took Morris(homeless and recovering...........really recovering) to see his wife Cindy in the nursing home where she's recovering from a stroke. She has a left hemiparesis(left arm/leg weakness/paralysis) and partial speech loss. She was very happy as Morris(responsible again) has arranged for an apartment for them and they'll be back together in their own place and SOBER. I just love it when a plan(God's plan?)comes together. Jason
Took a drive to breakfast. Played in the lot with the steering brake. Ate a donut, drank a coffee, kicked some MINI tires & slithered home. :donut1:
Mighty Mite passed the emissions test @124,157 miles (PO420 no more) and got to try out the winter wear, General Altimax Arctic tires on ice. Actually last night on the way home from the movies was the first test on snow, they pass.
:cornut: I'm going to put 'Water Wetter' back in the cooling system as I'm more comfortable with Margi running 220F than 230F. I'm replacing the driver's side front fog light that's burned out. SPEAKING OF WHICH- the manual calls for an H 8 bulb but the auto parts man(Auto Zone) insisted that an H 11 bulb would fit/work. Obviously, I'm going to find out but I just thought that I might ask whether any of y'all knew whether they were interchangable? Jason ADDENDUM:weather here is clear and sunny, temp 50F
The H11 and the H8 have the same base so they should fit. The H11 is a 55W bulb and the H8 is a 35 W bulb. The R56 fog light housing is metal so the extra heat from the H11 won't be a problem. I won't speculate if the MINI wiring will be able handle the extra load without melting. And of course if you only replace one with the H11, both fog lights won't have the same brightness. If it were me I would stick with the H8....
