Me and the gremlin went to Roseville to check on the hubs on the trail fire.... I'm sure he will be headed further south so more road trips ahead. Still got great gas mileage screaming down the freeway #kcco.
Nice Dave.... Except for your mirror caps.... They look kind of tired.... They need something more than just a coat of Kamikaze.....
Those are just "temps" until Dick finishes my real ones. I think I will send him that set to do anything he wants to so he can demo his work since I won't need them. Nothing says "This is what I do" like handing some your art work to see.
Dave, if you do that, I might do Paul a set for the GP-R... Then he can send his, and we can keep this going! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That would be great Scott! Just remember it's 11024! No clue where that first box ended up, not even the post office could figure it out. Happy 4th of July! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I took my MINI to Kaboom Town last night at RAC Performance, as planned, and it did get to hang out with some high-falutin' cars. Ferrari 288 GTB (and a bunch of Porsches)... Ferrari 458 Speciale and Maclaren 570S... A couple of Carrera GTs, with a Maserati Grandtorismo in the backround, where it will spend most of it's life -- in the shop on a lift... (iPhone pictures, sorry) 911 (991) GT3RS in Barney purple (this guy loves weird colors on his cars)... (Again, sorry for the blurry photo) I also got to see a lot of friends I haven't seen in a while. Ate some good food, drank a few beers, and watched some fireworks. The owner of the Purple GT3RS was out of town, so just his car was there. Too bad, because I was loaded for bear with Barney wisecracks (it's okay, we're friends). The Maclaren is for sale, if anyone is interested. CD
Washed my car so it would rain today and help put out the wildfire that got started and spreading rapidly. and watched the airshow overhead while waxing. ...and guess what? It's raining :biggrin5:
You are lucky I'm not there, or at least that my yard is not there. A big storm was coming right at me around midnight, and it split into two storms about 20 miles from me. One went a couple miles North of me, and the other a couple miles South. No rain on my parched yard. :incazzato: I guess I could have moved my clean car outside. That would have kept the storm together, but it probably would have produced hail. :frown2: CD
c Came here looking for a vendor to sell me some OEM spark plug wires. Why do they make it so difficult.Going for a drive will look later.
I buy OEM parts at the dealer all the time. EMINIparts.com is another great place to get OEM parts. If I don't need parts in the same day, EMINIparts is my go to.
Picked up my MINI from the bodyshop in Boulder today, they did a very good job with the color match and getting it back together. Complete repaint on the front, bonnet, bumper, etc. New clear mask put on by Schomp MINI, since they do one piece on the bumper versus striping sections of clear, yes I am picky. Overall I am a happy owner, original bumper and bonnet used, no heavy metal work, all hand repair and finish, no bondo, etc. etc. New complete left headlight assembly, yes I kept the old parts, igniter and bulb. I hope you can see this picture taken this afternoon after the rains. Only nit, somewhere between the body shop and the MINI dealer or during the flat tow they manged to put a light ding on my passenger door just above the door handle, we are discussing that issue. It did not have it going in, it will not have it in a week or so. Don
Glad your happy with the with the repair with the exception of the newly discovered dent which seems to happen a lot more often than one would think.
