I pushed mine out of the garage for a little while today, so I could experiment with a paint additive... I've been thinking about painting the roof of my 135 black, but that car holds more heat inside than anything I've ever owned! So a black roof would probably make it even hotter in the car on summer days. What's a guy to do? ThermoChromatic pigment! It's basically a color changing pigment you add to the clearcoat that will be Black when it's cool out, but the pigment turns clear when it gets hot, allowing me to keep the white roof in the summer heat. I know uploading videos without YouTube on this site sucks, but check it out! https://vimeo.com/177855685 That's just hot water hitting the paint coming straight out of the sink! It's friggin SWEET! Granted, none of my additives come with mixing instructions, and I didn't add enough of the additive to the clear on this test piece so it's pretty thin and blotchy, but it's a TEST PANEL! That's the whole point... I'm going to do a little more experimenting with using it before I paint my roof, but it's a pretty easy to use product that could be used on all kinds of stuff in the future. I have noticed that it did discolor the white just a tad, so on my roof I might add a slight silver pearl to a top coat of clear just to set it apart even when it's white. I've seen it before, and have been able to get it for a couple years, but never felt like paying the $30 for an ounce of the powder... My supplier hooked me up with some as a trial because I've bought so much from them though, so I finally got to see how it works! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Put on the new Konis over the weekend. What a difference on the road. I can't wait to try them out on some fun roads.
We'll, not my MINI, but my favorite MINI hat blew off and off the end of the boat and out to sea when I was pulling crab pots last week.
Probably the only time this statement will fit, and not rain on anyone's parade... So I'm using it... Blowing your hat off sucks, but I'm glad you got crabs man! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Had a dream that I was driving around in my car and she had 0 boost. Was in limp mode with no engine light. It was awful. That feeling of a busted car stayed with me until I got outside this morning and realized it was only a dream Thank the lorT
I polished Checkers today. First time in 6 or7 mos. Now I know why, I'm getting to old for this. It's not putting on the polish or wax it's taking it off. I need to find a better way.

I did this to my Mini the other day. Figured "I didn't need no man to help me. I'm an independent woman!" Yea, well I over shot my ramps. Moron! I used my jack on each side to get the ramps out. Thankfully only a little orange paint on the plastic under the body. *Waiting for the snark to fly*
WOW! glad the car is ok. I wont say anything we all do dumb stuff...............So I wont say anything like WOMEN DRIVERS!
Yeaah.. I say that I can be a terrible woman driver. My hubby tells me that frequently too. Maybe there is something to it...
When I ride with my older daughter she is always complaining about women drivers its kind of funny. If I can laugh between the screams, She is a very aggressive driver and a bit of a short fuse...........I don't know where she gets it.:frown2:
I think that may be where my husband is coming from. I tailgate like crazy. I basically learned how to drive from a Massh***. My father grew up in Boston, and shortly after getting my license by boyfriend living outside of Boston. So I learned to drive like him because I thought it was cool. The middle finger is the state bird. After so many years, I've cooled down a little. But NO ONE here in Iowa uses their signals and turn into the left lane to turn right. I may have said a few choice words and maybe let the bird fly a bit..
