My wife drives like a maniac. She thinks nothing of waiting to the last second to brake for a stop sign or passing three cars at once on a two lane country road. She doesn't like corners and slows way down for them, but after that, it's pedal to the metal!
Yes, its similar to a concealed carry. I LOVE corners. There are so very few here in Iowa, that I relish them when I can. I've even turned around to do them again if I have the time
I so wish I could. This spring it is during finals week just before I *hopefully* graduate from nursing school.
It helps to plan a trip to the Dragon WELL in advance Niki, so we'll see you there in 2018 after you're gradiated an have no excuses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Can't be worse than my ex-wife. I swear she did demolition derby in her spare time. Usually ran into stationery objects. :confused5: Her best one was sideswiping a parked car. The bonus element is the parked car she sideswiped... was mine. :incazzato: CD
A word of advice... If you find yourself driving in Texas, keep that bird holstered. Hotheads down here have real concealed carry permits, and you don't need to take an IQ test to get one. I've had guns pointed at me twice on Texas highways -- and I didn't fly the bird. CD
Thanks! Sounds like a plan! I don't plan on really ever driving in Texas... So totally cool of me and going on the terrible woman driver.. Thankfully NOT in my Mini. I saw the goddarned deer, slowed down to like 20, not slamming on my brakes because there was someone almost up my backside. The deer turns to go back the way it came, then spun/jump into my bumper. Then went butt over tea kettle into the ditch/corn field. Thankfully it is just my hood that got damaged. The lights all work well and no damage to my radiator. Looks like I can just pop the hood off and bang it out. Grrr:mad2::mad2:
Looks like the bumper took a hit just above the passenger side fog lamp too. Ouch. At least it wasn't your MINI!
Deer and squirrels. Two animals that will make it all the way across the road to safety, and then turn around and run back into traffic. :frown2: CD
Nope, he probably set his new mirrors and emblems next to it and thought about polishing the car more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That was there when I bought the car, so can't blame that one on me! I'm very glad it wasn't my Mini. I think it would've hit the windshield if it had been.
At the dealer for an almost 30K check. Walked the lot looking at the new ones. Dang those Countrymen are big! I think if they still made a nice small-er version of the 2 door F56, maybe they could keep the purists happy and still have models for the folks wanting something they can haul the family around in. They are all still cooler than your average Honda or VW sedan though.
Debatable. I'd rather have a 2 door Accord V-6 or a CC or a Passat than a new MINI. And the V6 Accord is prolly faster. Definitely has alot more hp @278.
Cars I would take over an F-series MINI: Almost anything! Except for Toyota products (including Lexus), mini vans, or tiny econo-shiftboxes that are centered around cheap and fuel efficiency. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
CC and Passat suffered from the same bloat in design. I had a B5.5 which IMHO was the last year that they looked like the classic euro style. I just traded it for a '13 R56 so I must have a habit of getting the last "good" model years It's all a matter of personal preference I suppose.
