No, the R53 is going. Just need to get off my duff and list it somewhere. I'm slowly selling off the parts I'll never use, though there's still several miscellaneous parts left to move. In the end I'll have an empty space in the shed to fill.
As a surprise to her, my wife's MINI is getting a new sunroof cover and it really fits its owner's personality. CRAP! :mad5: The heat ruined the graphic when the tube was being shipped, I guess. The adhesive adhered itself to the backing and would not stick to the sunroof. DAMMIT...what a surprise for ME...GRRRRRRRR...:mad2: So, it's back to the drawing board...:frown2:
Did nothing specially with the mini coupe today...just casual browsing and realized i visited/travelled thru these states in my coupe, last 18 months. http://m.maploco.com/visited-states/mine.php?states=AR-AZ-CA-CO-IA-IL-IN-KS-KY-LA-MI-MO-NE-NM-NV-NY-OH-PA-TN-TX-UT-WV-WY PS: i am not promoting this webpage
Drove it to replace the groceries that thawed out, when the breaker my fridge is on, tripped while I was in Germany. (That was a pleasant surprise to come home to... not.) Then did an oil change. Now time for some laundry before I head up to PA for the weekend.
Finally fixed it here... http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/cooper-s/28286-r53-fuel-filter-housing-pressure-regulator-failure-2-3k-hesitation-hard-start-2.html#post373871 Confirmed failure of filter assembly-mounted fuel pressure regulator.
I finished up cleaning the last two of the four 17" wheels I was given. Then, I roughed out the brackets I made to mount my gauges. Life is good.
Well not today, but yesterday I did a total hand wash of the 11 Countryman with Hydro Wash, produces lots of foamy suds, then a nice post wash Hydro Dry to get the shine back. I was going to do my typical brushless powerwash at Atomic Wash down the road, but alas it appears they may have closed or planning a bunch of maintenance. I hope that is it, but time will tell. I sure hope they don't convert that wash to a parking lot. So, I got a good workout washing then doing an interior clean up, finally found a good product to take out dog hair, pumice stones for hair removal, I imagine they have been around for years, but this old man found out a new trick. Takes out Golden Retriever hair superbly. Don
Not tonight, but last night waiting for my girlfriend to get off work before our date I took Grace up Lookout Mountain and got some amazing shots for low light on an iPhone... (Sorry I know it's not a MINI, but it's going to have to do... Poor Rat-MINI is never going to make it out of the garage. ) And a scenic shot of the sunset across the canyons... I'm liking those pics too! Nothing finer than a clean Beemer with a sunset in the background. As for me, I waved good bye to both my Minis as I headed outa the garage... bound for Maui.
