Left the MINI at home today, took the family car in for service. Got chauffeured to work in a 750Li (BMW) .
Did the first oil change since I bought the car. Was way easier changing the oil then getting the oil, filter and socket at the car parts store. Sorry guys, just because I have boobs doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing. I hate that they treat me like a moron. RockAuto it is next time.
Yesterday: parked the MINI on the side street so I could reseal the driveway. Lowe's had dropped the price of their "10 yr." sealer by ~25% last week or the week before. So, I managed to pocket about $700 by DIY-ing the task.
Nice job. I remember re-coating the driveway with my dad as a kid. Today, my driveway is concrete, so I don't need to do that. CD
He was pretty much responsible for keeping the buckets of sealer mixed and staged ahead of me, as I spread it everywhere.
Ok now that we know we are a dumb GIRL.........:biggrin5: I use Rockauto also for some parts. With 4 kids and 8 cars to maintain I need to save where I can. But I am careful what I get from them. I bought a new window regulator for them only to replace it later. Also I only use OEM file filters.
:useless Be careful what brand of oil filter you use..... Some can fall apart... Best to stick with OEM or Mann.... And I think NAPA is rebranded Mann (not positive on this)... Or Mahle... If you have a 2nd Gen S, stick with 100% synthetic oil.... Glad you tackled the oil change yourself... Not hard, and it makes you more familiar with the engine...
I drove my MINI over to Italian CarFest. Some cool cars, including a Miura. Not a single vintage Fiat 500, though. But, there were two 2017 Fiat Spyders. I like them. CD
Looks like I need to come down to your place tomorrow and add some rubber stripes.:lol::ihih::lol::ihih::lol::ihih::devil:
