Mixed emotions sold my 02 today that is the car that started my MINI addiction However started new chapter with 05 MCS.....:biggrin5:
Jango got a wash last night... couldn't take him dirty to the Metroplex MINI DIY day w/ pics, above. I didn't have anything to do to Jango, but I helped out w/ a brake fluid flush, a coolant flush, some new brake light bulbs, an oil change and a crank sensor seal replacement. The techs shared a cool trick to do the crank sensor seal easily... removing the lower engine mount and pulling the engine backwards to gain access room to the crank sensor, so I did a write-up for the MA library.
My MINI was attacked by a flock of gulls with the runs! It is supposed to rain tomorrow, but I ended up at the local spray it off anyway. Damn birds! :incazzato:
I didn't do anything with mine. He's sitting in the garage all cleaned up and waiting for his new owner to pick him up on Friday. CHKMINI III is sitting at Dreyer Reinbold MINI in Indy waiting on an old Silverback to adopt him next week! I tried to tell the Sales manager at MAG MINI in Columbus that I would buy elsewhere....he didn't believe me. They definately GET IT in Indy!!!
Took mine out of winter hibernation, and drove it on this beautiful January day. Best part is it didn't catch on fire!
Got up for work today and filled up Ryu with his first full tank of Shell 93 Last night I worked more on chip repair. Tonight may put in the new spark plugs. Tomorrow he goes back to the shop to get the last couple dings taken out
Took advantage of the incredible weather and took the MINI out for an Italian Tune Up. We also met a local Law Enforcement Officer that didn't think my idea of fun jived with his. His lack of radar saved me from a Certificate of Velocital Achievement.
Italian tune up????? :confused5: The weather is gorgeous here too. It was 65 when I was out and about for lunch today. Had the sunroof open!!!!!!
