Got back late yesterday from a fantastic Open House outing at Seven Enterprises with my Classic Mini. Great place with great hospitality and an even greater bunch of folks. Thanks to Mike and the gang at Seven!
Traveling a bunch right now, this past week we both were home at the same time, so we took the 11 Countryman up in the mountains to see the last of the fall colors. Pretty! On the way up the 11 tossed a 1/2 power message, but after I stopped and cycled it went away and the power was good over a 11000 foot pass. I already had an appointment to get the brake fluids flushed and 2 year indicator reset so told them on check-in that the 11 tossed a message. Now I have a loaner while they (MINI) figure out if the new software and some replacement parts clear out the high altitude code issue or if they have to replace the turbo. Hummmm. The upside I have full warranty on the 11, so only $50 out of pocket, we shall see how this resolves itself. Bad timing as we are planning to drive the 11 to Missouri in November, not full of confidence right now. 11 has 55K on it, not a warm and fuzzy. Guess in 2 years I will add and extended on the 16 just to be comfortable. I do love my MINIs. Now the loaner I have, not so much, it is a S Clubman ALL4, good power, comfortable driver, great sound system and interior appointments for a BMW. Ugly front! Don
Got off of work and walked past both of my mini's, both sitting, broken and sad. I walked past them again to go to the store and once again to go to work tonight.
Warshed Skooby the dirty clubster. I did it on a hill & warshed the tars too. Now it is all ready for a new coat of dirt. Use a chock for your tires not a chuck. Chuck's will bet bored & walk to the donut shop. :donut1:
Looks like the rainy season has started in the Pacific Northwest area. I put more Rain-X on my windshield this morning.
Took my car in for PA's yearly state Inspection and Emissions testing and new Winter tires on my crappy OEM S-Heavies. Summer tires are done so I will store the rims until Spring for a new set Dunlop Star Specs for the Dragon. The Dragon is only 202 Days, 01 Hours, 04 Minutes, 23 Seconds away.
The Dragon............I drove my mini to Nashville on Monday. It sure is hard knowing the Dragon is a near 3 hours way. I have to work all night so I must rest during the day. It sure is hard being responsible. :frown2:
I'm gonna head up there Sunday morning for a few runs :cornut: OR do Caffeine and Exotics... I still haven't decided.
When you put things like that, it really seems like I have a lot to do! Still hoping to be moved in before then, but the MINI will still be in broken and in Colorado. Going to wait for the garage to be built before bringing the last load of stuff. On the plus side, it will be my 4th Dragon, and I will be continuing my tradition of bringing a different car every time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
