That's funny, I've been on a pumpkin spice kick lately too!

So far, I'm getting mixed results.

Crossed another mileage milestone on the way in to my office this morning.

Turns out, my MINI has been pretty reliable and still a hoot to drive.

Drove my R53 home from Nashville yesterday and gave it a much deserved bath today. Then we took my wife's R57 to a home show. it was about a 25 minute drive mostly on country roads. She put the top down and I rode shotgun. On the ride home the day turned to night, the tempter dropped to about 70, top still down. You couldn't ask for better weather for a convertible. We came home and swapped to my Mini and went to dinner together. Good food and great conversation.

We have spent the last 24 years raising 4 great kids with little time for ourselves. It was great to have a full day together!

My MINI is at The Parking Spot at Dallas Love Field. I'm at SEMA. I met Richard Petty today. I've met dozens of top race car drivers, but this was my first Richard Petty encounter. Fo someone my age, that's a big deal. One of my friends took a picture. I'll post it when he sends it to me.

No more MINIs (I say that now )... But, I'll have the Classic forever. I'm staying British though (I believe), with a new ride in the future. I'll post up some pics after it's been acquired. Could be a few months yet.

Looks like Jocko will be headed to Salt Lake City. Not sure how long he'll take to adjust to the climate.

My MINI is waiting for me, loyal to me, at The Parking Spot at Dallas Love Field, in the covered parking area, of course. It knows I'm coming back, as I always do. It will welcome me back to Dallas, and take me to my dog-sitter's house, and will take us both to my house, and my MINI's garage. We will all be home. My MINI has a great garage to call "home," so it will be as happy as my dog to go home. :biggrin5:

I was in a 3 car accident Friday night. I was the passenger and my wife and I were NOT in the MINI and thank God we were in her Lexus RX 350. Some effing frat guy from U of MD was texting and not paying attention and rear ended us at a complete stop at a light. He hit us so hard he pushed us 8 feet into the car in front of us.

I we are both sore today, me more than her because I hit my head on the A pillar. I hate every a A s s h o l e that text and drives.
