The wheels are good and they are light. So do they match the look you want for your car? Is the price right?
Last night I went for a drive just for the sake of taking a drive. Found some nice twisty roads just outside town then hit a nice long straight to top her out before the long cool down ride home. Still loving this car. In other news, we traded the Mariner in for a new F150. That Ecoboost twin turbo is no joke! Now I can tow Bitsy Mae up to the Dragon Cheers y'all!
Some of you know already but here goes... Sunday, I opened my parents garage door to say goodbye again as I left town... Then Yesterday I bought it a new home 20 miles south of the Dragon, just outside of Robbinsville off of Sweetwater road between 129 and 28! I wont have a garage there for probably the next year, but the house and property couldn't get any better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Went down to the shop this morning.... Changed the earl and earl filter in my daughter's vehicle.... Went back to the MINI and updated the tags with the proper sticker so I'm good for another year... Was joined by a couple friends that stopped by to chew the fat.... Put a little time into pricing out some new work... It was an all around good morning.... Spring is just around the corner.... Can't wait to be driving the MINI...
I've been noticeing a slight hesitation or stutter at idle for a little while now, and when I changed the valve cover I also had noticed some light rust on the sides of the coils, so today I exchanged all four spark plugs and coils for new. This involved buying the special 12 point 14mm socket for removal, and a standard 6 side 5/8 socket for the replacement plugs which I'm sure will confuse someone (me) someday. Got the plugs and coils at Rock Auto, which is a great source, if you're unaware of it check them out. I'd also gotten much of my suspension bits from there including some beefier end links. Good parts at good prices. In any event, the new plugs and coils seem to have resolved the idle stutter, so all is good.
Took mt car out today for a "drive it like you stole it" run. Loving my new clutch, new RMW 500 hp rated axels with my new OS GIKEN super locker LSD. Can't wait for summer tires with more grip.
I drove mine to Kroger for groceries. I drove the speed limit, and came to a complete stop at stop signs. WooHoo!!! Oh, I also used my Kroger points to get 10 cents off a tank of 93 octane. CD
Nothing. Haven't since I dropped it off at the body shop last Sunday night. But I get get to see the progress of the repairs Friday morning. It'll be good as new when I get it back later this week. Here's what's getting fixed... Happened back in October. My sister backed into it in her driveway. No damage to her car, that can't be buffed away... but it's close to $2k in bodywork on the MINI.
