Yup.... I do that to grind down the hipsters in the area....

It messes with them.... Sometimes I play Lawrence Welk accordion music as well...

I order lots O stuff from eMINIparts bud. Lots,And they are great to deal with. The wheel woulda been the same price but add shipping. The one dealership I got the wheel from was good, it's the dealership I get my car serviced at that the parts guy wouldn't match the dealership across town. Prefer to keep my business in one location but, wasn't happening. He wouldn't go below 300. I realize it's not that much of a difference but still.

The Bosun on a ship I worked on had a Delorean with a powerful sound system in it, he drove it up to the gangway one day and even from the main deck, a loud bass beat could be heard through the closed windows. As he opened the gullwing door, the sound of polka music came booming out of the car!

The funny thing was that the polka music suited him, it was weird to think that he would be listening to anything else.

    >60 freakin' degrees again here in MN. Today, I apologized to the R53's winter tires for the abuse after commuting home . Snow finally on Thursday-Friday.

Today, I got some of the parts that I ordered. Which includes Black Headlight and Tail light Rings, Helix Black Projector Headlights, Depo Smoked LED Tail lights, JCW Upper and Lower Grille Trim, and the Mini Sport Shorty Antenna. :biggrin5:

Haven't driven the MINI since the 15th. She's been under a car cover since I left ATL. Tomorrow at approximately 6:00 PM we ride :D Cannot wait. The VW Touareg 2.0T awd in Toronto was better than your average rental, This Toyota Highlander while in Halifax has more nuts than I thought it'd have. Neither come even remotely close to my MINI. I think I'm going thru withdrawals... Happy Friday MINI folks!

Replaced the hatch struts on the back of my MINI.

I was getting tired of being hit on the head if I take too long to put stuff into the boot.

Learned it was not necessary to pull the spring clips off when removing the old strut. Just wedge it out slightly with a screwdriver.

Also put some white grease in the fittings where the struts attach to the car.

It snowed this morning, and threatens to snow again on the weekend.

Somebody from Size MINI Club of Vancouver texted and asked me to organize a drive somewhere for this weekend.

uh....no. I'll drive there myself. Most of those guys don't even have snow tires on their cars.

Maybe when it warms up a bit.

I installed my new sway bar, changed the oil and de-stickered the boot. After a nice drive on familiar back roads, I can say that I'm pleased with the result and wish I had done it sooner.

Decided to reinstall my rear-seat delete... after I covered it properly with some carpeting.

When I mated the two, it got a little off-kilter... but you'll never see it.

Installed Bosch Icon wipers on my R50 in preparation for this year's Dragon. I'm adding another cup holder, too, as a friend is coming down with me.
