Washed my car today. Also put on Dick's Garage black mirror caps and custom painted black and red MINI emblems.

Also changed plugs, cleaned air filter and double checked the car for the Dragon.

Yesterday I went for a nice drive with friends in my new to me JCW R56. I will miss the R50, I learned a lot about driving in that car, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity on the new one.

It stayed in the Garage again, today. Good thing it was there tonight. About 8PM, the tornado sirens went off, and I checked the news website, and we had a whopper coming our way.

No tornado, but a whole lot of hail, ranging from dime size to golfball size. Looks like I'll be getting a new roof on the doghouse.

The guy across the street has two nice cars, and only room for one in the garage, and he was in a bit of a panic, so I moved my MINI over, and we squeezed his Challenger in next to it.

I grabbed a few big hail stones, vacuum sealed them, and tucked them into the freezer for the insurance adjuster to see.

    Springtime in North Texas.

Washed all the pollen off the MINI yesterday, only to wake up and find it full of pollen again :)

Here you go.... Taken with a potato camera down in Tennessee...

The really great part about bringing it home was that we took SR 23 north through Pikeville and Paintsville to Chillicothe and on into Columbus... Roads I've been on with Chuck and Babs.... Not the "Tail of the Dragon" but more the "Tail of the Salamander".... Still loads of fun... We were coming through some of the hollows and people were burning wood in their fireplaces with the smoke wafting along the valleys... Pretty cool run...

I think you mean PDK, if you are referring to the dual clutch manumatic.

Also, Metalman, I was asking if it is a Cayman S, or a base Cayman. From your reply, I'm guessing it is a Cayman S.

I've driven hundreds of Porsches in my job, and I really like the Cayman S. The mid-engine configuration is easier to drive fast than the rear engine 911, IMO.

What I did today.... Nothing MINI related, but I did get the roadster out drop the top & take a nice back road drive. It felt so good, spring is here & I'm happy. :smile5:

I got my Roadster out for a spin today too Chuck! And, I got my 70 out for a burn yesterday, as well.

God I'm glad the rains have passed for a bit. Only the Ides of March remain...

I dropped mine back at the dealership to have a few things cared for. They gave me a loaner Clubman S. This one is soooo much nicer than the 3cyl justa I got last time. I could see myself getting one of these to use as the family truckster.

This is why we shouldn't use acronyms when describing things.
    Texting has made us lazy.

I had to Google that. I don't play golf. I hate playing golf. I just happened to have a golf ball in the infamous "junk drawer."

That thing is probably 25 years old, maybe more. It is no doubt one of the very few golf balls I didn't lose when I pretended to play golf.
