Drove CHKMINI III home from Dreyer Reinbold in Indy thanks to Mini Fireman. A great buying experience! !!!
I drove my MINI to work in the ice & snow. (cough KittyMini cough) Suck it up, your can't stay clean forever. DCS is always off, because I know how to drive my car in all weather.
:cornut: Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boss Mustang Laguna Seca in Ford Racing Orange(HOOK'EM HORNS) Jason
Stop being a cheap ass and buy your neighbor's Cherokee.... we'll see how long yours stays clean then
:cornut: Yeah but he could make the car pay for itself rapidly by putting a large 'Moon Tank' in the trunk to haul 100s of gallons of 'Shine.'(Big Mustangs are nice for that):lol::lol: " and it was Thunder Thunder down on Thunder Road........................!":ihih::lol::lol::lol: Jason
Sounds good but it would have to be Black and Red with grey interior trim. I'm a two time UNLV graduate. (BS Business Admin - Marketing, and my MBA). Yeah... only not so much. See this list just posted today on Jalopnik: Ten Automotive Stereotypes That Need To Die I am looking into SPEC to see if they make a SMF. I do love my MINI. I have had mor fun with it in stock form than I have with any other car I've owned. I'm terribly frustrated that the R56s are plauged by gremlins. I know I'm in the minority but I dont like the way the R53s feel in comparison so I don't see that as an option. Back on topic though: I swapped out the worn front brake sensor I have been ignoring for a month and then crossed 57,500 miles.
I took my brake sensors & soldered the ends together. I'll never be bothered with the brake pad nanny again! A Mustang would be a hoot, but the MINI is sooo much fun & is easy on gas too, now that is pretty cool.
I put them in place then hook them out of the way. last time I was in for service the tech was "helpful" and plugged it in to the pad. So, it wore down. Grabbed a new one and wired it out of the way. So, hopefully I won't have to worry about it again.
Installed(DIY) an Alta 22mm rear swaybar. Regret that I didn't do this "best bang for the buck" mod day one. The handling now is incomparable to the pre swaybar era.
Car wouldn't turn over this morning, it's been starting slow all week, so I ordered an Optima Red Top battery. No driving the MINI for 5-7 business days. =(
I had mine tied out of the way too. My helpful MINI tech routed the sensor wire so it would get sawed in half after I got out of warranty. Rather than buy a new one I soldered the remnants together. Do you suppose the techs are taught how to screw up tied off sensors in tech school? Hmmm....
Yesterday I finally got Ryu out for a nice, "spirited" drive with ChiliPa up to a gathering of other Mini nuts for some good conversation and good eats. I let the GPS find our way home and it took us through some sick country back roads You know it was a good time when my car ends up dirty
