Nothing Mini'ish today or yesterday for that matter. But, yesterday, I took first place in my Class with my 2008 Jaguar XKR, at the annual All British Motoring Show in Dixon, CA.

Looks great and Congratulations on being the owner of DH. So, how many traffic awards did you get before you parked for the night? Looks fast and subtle! (NOT).

    :)

Took the German bread-van on a nice back road Southern Ohio drive. What a great day with hardly any other traffic. Had a wonderful gourmet foot-long dog for lunch. All in all a fine day to be a retired old fart. :D

New tires, taking 'advantage' of Discount Tire's Memorial Day promotions.

Took a chance on the Barum Bravuris 3HM, bumped to 215/45. Finally got rid of the hated Dunlop Run-Flats (which I have to admit weren't as horrible on my 2013 as they were on my 2009... Dunlop has made some progress).

Never heard of that brand, I'll be interested to see what you think of them once you get some miles on them.

I read they're made by a subsidiary of Continental......

Yep, Czech-made, owned by Conti. Great specs, low price, big mileage warranty. Lots of BMW folks like 'em

Barum is a Discount Tire 'captured-brand' in the USA, but Discount has become my tire store of choice ever since 4-Day went belly up. Good reviews on UK sites.

Luckily no bubblegum machine got behind me. But in the morning in the rain in traffic a girl in a mustang almost took DH out THREE yes THREE times. She was not paying attention! Finally every time traffic stopped I just pulled onto the shoulder till she stopped. One time I braced for the impact.:frown2:
