Found out the coupe can be started when the key fob is on the outside of the car (resting underneath the wiper blades to be exact) and that the computer won't notify you that the key has flown off and is out of range until after you turn the car off 30 minutes later...

Ouch. Did you find the key fob when you went back for it
? I just imagining how bad that could be, jump in the car drive 150 miles and have no way to re-start it.

I was going to install the driver side euro shelf, but it turns out I need a couple pieces of hardware first. Wish I would have known that when I ordered it.

My MINI got wet on the way to trade it in on something a little more sensible.

Actually, yesterdays's photoshoot. Lamborghini Super Trofeo. I didn't get to drive it -- I couldn't get in it thanks to the 15 pounds of IV fluids I'm carrying around right now. I feel like the Michelin man.

Drove that fine ***** into work today, had a blast on some long wide bends with a BIG OL' Audi next to me. He couldn't hang. Also, I just went to eMINIparts.com ordered the GP2 rear diffuser :D Worth it @ 420 bux? Maybe not, but it'll look damn good :cornut: Way's was $399, but I don't like him so....
    -Update-
eMINIparts came down to get VERY close to Way's price INCLUDING shipping, I'm always impressed with them folks. Steve in parts is fantastic to work with.

Last night was an earl change. This morning... serpentine belt. Now it's time to watch the nephew finish his little league baseball game from last night. They got booted off the field before they could finish due to a double booked field. Then tomorrow morning is his 'play-offs.'

If you're planning to run the supercharger, no - it won't work with the old ECU, you need one from an R53.

Fortunately, my wife had a later shift that morning and brought hers to me.

After work went back to the most logical corners that it would flown off but did not find it. As an experiment we tied a fob (from the clubby) to the wiper blade of the coupe with string and then followed my morning route from home. The fob tried to jump ship on the third corner in our neighborhood. No luck finding it there.

I would have to assume someone picked it up. We have a neighborhood news letter that we can put in mention in the lost and found. Otherwise, hopefully the person that found it will take it to the dealership.

Today I plastidipped the head light and taillight rings, painted the door handles and the insides of the headlights. I was going to buff the headlights out while they were off the car, but it seems the little ones have run off with some of my sandpaper discs and a thunderstorm is rolling in.

Left my car outside is the rain and detailed 2 huge SUV's this weeken. One a big Toyota 4 RUNNER all black and the other was a silver AUDI SUV.

Looks like I will wash my car later this week after it rains Mon and Tues.

You should have left the two SUVs out in the rain and put your MINI back in the garage....or taken the MINI out motoring instead of detailing two SUVs.
