Well, Friday started a nice week + off from work. Spent the day installing 5 more windows on the second floor of the house with the extra set of hands from our very own Dave.0. Proof that the Mistress does see the light of day..... once in a while. We made short work of having to sling the ladder around for 3 of the 5 windows.
Thanks again, Dave! Now I can spend the rest if this week flashing and capping the 9 windows that have been installed to date.
Today I washed the wife's ride and cleaned it really well. It got too hot and humid to do mine so I will do it tomorrow morning. I did do a SC oil change on my new to me M45 which will be going on my car soon. Mine original SC has a 100k + on it and is weeping a little oil from the front so I am going to replace it with the very low mileage one I have had sitting on my shelf for the last few years. I will also install new OEM water pump, bypass valve and a few other parts while the front is wide open. :ihih:
Rotated tires on the R59 and took the opportunity to move the RSB back to its softest setting. With the NM Alpha springs in concert with the 25mm bar, the middle hole resulted in a bit too much tail happiness. This change will hopefully make mountain twisties a bit less scary.
Foot down & steer where you want to go.:arf: Over-steer is a glorious thing, but I understand completely. Too much can get very interesting.
Washed the 2 R53s and Wrangler. Vacuumed all. Conditioned the leather. And added Renew Protect on the arches. So hot out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Fiat lives across the street from me and the Camaro belongs to a coworker. We've been trying to get together for a drive for a while and finally made it happen. Today I learned that a stock JCW mini on run flats will walk away from a 500 arbarth in technical twisties(the kid is a stinking good driver, so I don't think that's the reason)but not so much from a Camaro SS . We all had a great time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dropped her off at the ATL International terminal park and ride. She'll be under cover till Friday. Happy 4th!
Taking Peppurr in to the dealer today to have the airbag warning mat replaced in the front seat. This was done within the last 2 years under the recall and should be covered under warranty. We'll see.... (I don't play well with the local dealer)
Exactly why we just traded my wife's Countryman for a Crosstrek. Local dealer changed service writers and service manager. The new bunch are twenty-somethings who are not customer focused and could not care less whether or not you have a halfway decent experience. In the past, you could elicit the sales department to put some pressure on service to try to keep repeat business; however, unfortunately, due to recent changes in the sales department, they couldn't care less either.
