It's a splitter of sorts. Takes the one plug harness that was on there and splits it to fit onto both sensors on the new thermostat.

I should have mentioned that I tracked the car in Texas heat and that I had a small tent trailer (800lbs) that I towed behind the MINI as well, so I was particularly worried about cooling.

Took Babs clubster over to the muffler shop for a new flex piece. When asking my favorite MINI tech he said "they all do that". Checked on the price of the part & it's only $1500 +. :eek6: Steven at eMINIparts.com told me what the fix was & even sent me a link to the part I needed. Well the guys at Mad Hatter Muffler had me on my way in 35 minutes at a cost of $95. Skooby is now nice & quiet once again. :smile5:

Please excuse the potato cam pics.....

Yesterday it was the MINI's turn today it was the German bread vans turn for some TLC. Headed over to Discount tire & had it re-shoe'd, Conti DWS this time. There are some nice rebates to be had this week at Discount Tire. I'm getting $205 dollars back. Now to go out & wear the mold release compound off of them. :ihih:

Replaced the plugs and coil packs on the R56. Ran like a champ and I'm glad it wasn't the HPFP. Now has the RF and LR marker bulbs out. I'll pick those up this weekend.

Today I put sealer on the convertible top on my wife"s R57. Now we are about to go out for dinner. We will be taking the R53

Also haven't found the source of the odd sound on the Runt. I listened to the front and back of the SC. Both ends sound ok not loud. But the water pump well it is a little loud. Its the original one and I have 158k on it, it may be time.

At 158k you've gotten good value out of the unit.

I did NOT try to buy gasoline for my MINI today. :eek6:

The DFW area is in double panic mode, so there are gas lines rivaling the seventies oil embargo. The refineries weren't destroyed by Harvey, just shut down temporarily. They'll be up and running in a few days. :frown2:

You wouldn't know it from the way gas prices spiked up here in KC.......

I filled up my Mini, premium was $3.25/gal - fortunately it only took 4 gallons - cause it's a Mini not a MINI! :biggrin5:

I was supposed to get my MINI back but the body shopnis still waiting on one part and they don't know when it will be in now.... Uhg.

Also, the gas shortages in Austin are a problem. My wife is working the WEC race at COTA and I had to hunt for an hour to find fuel for her WRX last night. I waited 20 minutes in line to get fuel. It was nuts.
