Washed my wife's S and mine today...it's nice to see their true colors again! Unfortunately, we still have to contend with another 6 weeks of Winter. My S will stay in the garage but her's will get dirty again as we only have a 2 car garage and the Cooper stays put there until warmer weather appears...shudda had an extra bay built when we built the house!
Changed o2 sensors. Changing oil next and replacing timing chain tensioner too. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I noticed yesterday that I had a license plate light out, so I got a new one. What a PITA to replace. You need a special tool, or Trump sized hands to put the new bulb in. It took me 15 minutes and a lot of cursing to get the new bulb in right. CD
Yeah, and the SOTU on Tuesday had the highest ratings EVER. It took me ten seconds to figure out HOW to do it, without instructions. The rest of the time was wasted because someone made something simple difficult... just like a Republican. CD
Dave Now that was funny, I don’t care who you are! @caseydog next time get these. I have them and really like them. https://www.outmotoring.com/led-license-plate-light-gen2.html
Thanks for the tip, but I paid four bucks for the stock replacement. When it comes to license plate lights, I just want my car to be legal. An $18.50 license plate light is VERY Republican -- the military would probably pay $918.50 each for those license plate lights. CD
I find the LED replacement tag lights to be too bright. I turned mine in on an angle to cut down the bright-ness.
I tried led ones on mine. They flickered a lot. Are there certain ones that will not flicker? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Si. Always get CANBUS bulbs. Also note that if you get LED's in place of incandescent bulbs, unless you disable the bulb check via Carly or the like, your bulbs will flash X amount of times after you start your engine. I disabled all bulb check systems to get away from the flashing after start up.
Ah. Thanks! Never really knew about the whole canbus thing. I'll look into the carly thing. I read that you can disable the drl through there too? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Anyone have any info as to why Gen 2 HPFP's fail? Would upping the quality/flow by changing to Colins upstream pump aid in the longevety of the HPFP? Are the HPFP's burning out in some way that a better supply of fuel would help whatever is breaking down within the pump?
I but the LEDs in the R58. Mine have not flickered, yet. CD i never thought about the not really wanting my plate to be seen.
