Took my wife's MCSa in for an estimate to cover the parking lot side door damage...crap...900+ bux to fix and repaint it. Good thing some of my insurance will pay for it, but, I'd MUCH RATHER "speak" to the clown who did it and left.

Trying to figure out this wire. As soon as I connect this wire where it's supposed to go, it cuts off the link to my scan tool. Trying to find what it goes to. It's purple/ white.

While the MINI was with me here at work, I got notified of "someone out front" from the home security deal. These gutter guys were working on a town home 2 doors down. Look where they decided to pull power from! Sonsabitches. Are they using enough power for me to notice it on my bill? No. Does it still piss me off? Yes.

In other news, if you're on the facebooks check out Detroit Tuned-s MINI build. He picked a teal color that I tend to hate most of the time, but it looks good on an R53- https://www.facebook.com/DetroitTuned/

Someone did that here and my neighbor unplugged the cord and cut the end off. He took the plug he cut off. Iolol

I did the same thing the next week when they came back and told them to buy a generator and quit stealing power. They called me a asshole and I said yeah and.... I have been called worse.

All the pics that Chad has posted of that build, make the wrap look like an electric blue clone. Having seen it in person a couple weeks back, it truly is "teal." The camera on his phone coupled with the shop lighting don't do the real color justice.

I drove the Helmet to the mall with my wife. I decided to park it in the safest place I could. Right under the police camera!:D

They called me an asshole too! And I've also been called worse :) I called boss man and told him what they did, he asked if I needed to be compensated and I said "no, it's not like that. I just want them to use power from the place they're working on instead of mine". He understood and said he'd call them. He called them an hour later as they were wrapping up. Then I got to listen to them talk about how much of an asshole I am for complaining and "people nowa days" talk. Mind you these guys were like 25 at the most. I sent a video clip of the conversation to the company's email address along with a nice note letting them know what I thought about the situation. What burned me the most is they saw no fault at all for what they did. They did nothing wrong... Flabbergasted.

The MINI goes in for her big 100k service at the MINI dealer today! She's at 99,9XX right now. That 100k maint. plan (in my opinion and I didn't buy it, the first owner did) isn't worth the money. Sure they say it covers brakes, brake fluid, oil changes, cabin filter, inspections etc. What they don't tell you up front is that they decide when they do work, it's not symptom based at all. Say they replace rotors and pads, if the rotors warp prior to their set mileage cut off they won't change them under the maint. plan. And oil. HA! At first they did it every 10k like the agreement said. At some point they changed it to 15k. They did an oil service at 85k (and they overfilled) I changed at 90k. Went in at 95k and they told me I needed at least 98k for them to do a change so I did another at home. 15k for an oil change is INSANE unless you drive a Corolla.

Only if the Corolla is using synthetic oil. Dinosaur oil only lasts for 5K to 10K before it needs changing out. In my previous cars, it was change the oil every 6 months regardless of mileage and if the mileage was high, change it more often.

I’m still old school in that I change mine more on the 3K plan especially with a Turbo.

On my '07 MCS I changed it anywhere between 3K and 5K miles, depending on how hard I ran it. Always ended up adding a quart between changes anyway. On the F56 I'm comfortable with 5K, but not the 10K Mini recommends. Haven't had to add any oil between changes in the last 30K miles.
