Somehow I don't seen you driving a minivan full of kids with corded tires. And, perhaps "chewing out" was the wrong choice of words. I will point out the problem, which I've done many times and, most of the time time, the driver is shocked to see the cords. They didn't even know.

BTW, the car that minivan could crash into could be a blue and white MIN cooper with me inside. So, it is my own business.

The MINI sat and watched me do a full tune up, trans fluid flush and suspension swap on the boss' Explorer yesterday. I got paid in smoked ribs and a pan of some French Canadian cheesecake. #winning

Made plans to take the MINI on a 4 day road trip. This will be the test drive before the Dragon. If I have time, I'm going to stop at Helix to see their shop.

I picked up a bag of mulch in the MINI. No matter how well I cover the area where the mulch goes, some of it finds its way to the carpet. So, a quick vacuum was required.

Spring storm season is upon us in North Texas, with some coming in the next few days. That means hit and miss hail. So, my MINI is staying in the garage as much as possible for the next few days.

Storms! Roofers came yesterday. Ripped half the roof off. When they started putting the shingles back they were the wrong ones! I wasn’t home, my wife caught it and called me. I had to stop them. They said they would have the owner call Monday. Here I sit, tarps covering my roof, storms headed this way...

No, it's my actual boss' car. Well he's my bosses boss and a good friend. I saved them a grand in labor :)

Oh ok. Wifey still think she's the boss though. Been in that situation a lot though for neighbors and friends. Especially when the wife is like, "I told so and so that you will change so and so's clutch". Good thing I like doing that stuff, and no one bothers me in the garage. Got my 50" on the wall in there and my fridge. Lol

No wife for this cat :) N'er have to worry about that. I usually end up getting side work from casual conversation either at work our out with friends, once someone finds out I'm handy with a wrench I get recruited. I don't usually branch outside of suspension and brake work. I will do a tune up here and there, but most times I'll just tell them how to do it since it's simple AF. This was a special case and I like the guy :) Plus he agreed to pay me in smoked ribs (finished cooking while I finished working) and a pan of some turtle cheesecake which is his wifes specialty. I hope I don't end up diabetic by the end of the week.

Checked the oil yesterday. It has been 3 months since I last added oil and was surprised that I didn't need to add any yet. Something must be wrong or I'm not driving hard enough.

Welp, with a last minute call to Dave.0 for some pointers and another dose of that how-to video I tackled some scratches and got the touch up paint warn down so I can keep dropping more on (I did go back and hit that one to the far left once more). The scratches though still there, are significantly less noticeable, it was hard to get one on camera. That split photo is the after wet sanding left, final polish right..I may or may not try and get them down some more. The chips are a work in progress. I did polish on that side too, but it's not finished so not going to show that till it's all finished.

Now I have to ask about the mounting situation. That's a bit different than how K&N's website shows the installation.
