Yesterday I washed Foggie and got her back in the garage just before the rain hit. Today we are off to MINI of Baltimore County for a MINI Clinic. I am not exactly sure what it is, but it's FREE and I get a gift for making the appointment. I let you know when I get back. Jim
MINI clinic sounds like a fun time. I'm sure you'll learn a thing or two & have fun doing it. Wish our dealer would do such things.
Took the CM to a car gathering then filled 'er up. See some picture in my MINI5280 thread! Tomorrow I wash both of them, I hope.
OK, turned out to be a "Spring Service Clinic", where the did a MWCI World Class Inspection (according to the work order) to see if anything was going wrong or needed attention. Now I know that they could not be doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, expected them to find some work that needed to be done and was prepared to let them do it (within reason). As I sat at the SA's desk I heard other SA's telling the folks what the found, and this and that needed attention, the work could be done right then and so on. As I checked in at the parts counter, to learn that I had NOT won the iPad, I saw a lot of folks writing checks. Well, I figured since they are looking for things to charge me for, at least Foggie would get a good going over, top to bottom. Forty five minutes later I see the SA headed in my direction. He walks up and says "Your ready to go sir. They could not find anything wrong with your car." Now is that cool or what and I got a free MINI baseball cap to boot. Jim
That's a great story Jim! Enjoy it..... Might not happen again :ihih: Today I rev'd out Ryu heading up I95 to the airport to pick up the hubby. On the way home it was so nice out we had the sunroof open Then I washed him :biggrin5:
As a side note, I wore my Tail Of The Dragon sweat shirt, jeans and ball cap. Everyone else was dressed very "yuppieish", were working with their lap tops and iPads and not talking. All the MINI's I saw coming in and going out were....well...plain. No stripes, no driving lights no nothing. I couldn't find a real MINIite anyplace. None of these folks would have fit in at MOTD. Jim
