nice and clean looking.. like it. yea - of course.. Actually looking for a new front spoiler. Don't like the one on there right now.
It is quite a pain. You have to unbolt it and shove it out of the way. On the N14 of our '09 I had more room to work with. On the N18s in of our R55 and R58 it seems the hoses are shorter resulting in less room to maneuver. I now remove the ducts for the intake both from the turbo to the air filter and the cold air intake. On a side note, It is interesting that they later added a notch in the engine bay bracing (or whatever its' called) for the socket extension needed to remove/add the filter. The '09 didn't have that notch and the socket extension was always rubbing.
Yes ain't that wonderful! Unbolt the tank & move it out of the way. On a justa there is no turbo in the way. Easy change, but lots less power.
My duct work is permanently out since it's no longer used, still the issue is that damn expansion tank. The stealership actually cracked that little plastic T fitting below the tank during an oil change and replaced it, super glad it didn't happen to me. My 12' doesn't have a notch either, but I always lay a rag on that radiator support thing so the socket extension doesn't rub the paint any more than the previous owner did.
It wasn't a demon, it was Z Germans They love to over-complicate EVERYTHING, I grew up with a pack of them in the north woods and am like 60% German (2nd gen American). It also could be yet another way to get folks to pay someone to change their oil instead of DIY. Sonsabitches.
When I was doing her R57 I kept thinking that the R58 tank was easer to move, guess I am not nuts after all.
The MINI had a day off while I drove Ferrari around North Texas today. It was a little chilly today for top down driving, but tomorrow is looking very nice. CD
When leaving the office yesterday Bitsy decided to wait till we left the parking garage to tell me her tire was low. Pulled over and found a screw in the right rear, filled it up with the little pump and headed home, once there I broke out the ol' plug kit and decided to rotate the tires while I was at it. How she manages to find a screw at least once a year is beyond me.
OK, I am a gadget nut. I bought valve stem caps that show the inflation of the tire. I installed them yesterday. I have 2 flat tires today. They leak ...
I think it's a cool idea, but how do they show the pressure? And I'm sorry for your loss....... of air
Something like this....... https://smile.amazon.com/Vesafe-Monitoring-Real-time-CL-201-Temperature/dp/B01LA8LL12/ref=sr_1_22?ie=UTF8&qid=1522937296&sr=8-22&keywords=tire+pressure+caps
Look what I found. This goes to what I think is the fuel pressure regulator? Would this cause the P2096, too lean issue? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Did a 2 step (yellow then white Rupes pads) buff and polish on the hood yesterday then followed up with a sealant (applied with a Chemical Bro's finishing pad). Also found out you can polish vinyl hood stripes and make them look new again, minus all the rock chips up front Will be coating the whole car with a nice wax after I do the same buff, polish, and sealant process just don't have a ton of time to tackle the car as a whole between now and the Dragon to do so it'll be done one side at a time.
Taking mine to the Goodyear Tire center in a few minutes. Having a set of Eagle F1 asymmetrical 3 summer tires installed and getting the alignment checked after installing the new coil overs.
I replaced all 4 struts today. The two that hold up the truck and the two that hold up the hood. I may install a new black license plate frame with a new FOP emblem today if I feel like it. All I have left to do for the Dragon is a full brake flush with Motul 660 and buy more Magic Hat 9. (Beer) I am ready to go.
