Does sound like you have a leak.. but if you don't drive it all that often.. this works well: https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender-021-0123-Junior-Charger/dp/B000CITK8S/ref=sr_1_4?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1527692219&sr=1-4&keywords=battery+tender Quick disconnect etc.. used them for years.
Dropped in on the local LXM chapter's annual barbecue and show n shine. In case you're wondering LXM = League of eXtraordinary Miniacs.
LXM is still a thing? Thought that all went belly up after the founder stole (A LOT) from his employer.
Oh no........LXM spreads like a bad case of an STD. That is one group of mainly hyper-controlling, small minded people.
Puled my CAI and intercooler out to have one powder coated and the other polished. Hope to get them back soon.
You guys probably need to fill me in on this. I have no idea what this is about. Locally, the people here just want to take their Minis out and drive them. Seems like a fun way for MINI drives to get together along with the local MINI clubs.
LXM consumes new MINI drivers since it's like the first thing that pops up when they're searching for MINI facebook pages. It's cool and fun in theory and there's others like it, I myself enjoy getting together with the local MINI's and Coffee group for some runs, but the founder of LXM is the main reason for a lot of people boycotting the group/brand. He's a liar and a thief, and he (and his minions) also makes fake fb profiles and joins other pages to infiltrate MINI groups to push his brand and/or see what people are saying about him and LXM. There's more to the Braham controversy but that's my take on the situation. I've since left all MINI groups on fb except for the local MINI's and Coffee, they's good people.
Finally figured out the whole NCS Expert stuff. Deactivated the DRL setting, and programmed the remote to open only door windows with unlock button, and close windows with the lock button on the remote. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
MCS02 I love it. I had it since 06 and haven't have any trouble with it yet. Beside I like the looks.
I put gas in it. It seems that someone, somehow managed to syphon off my gas while my car was parked at the airport. With all the security and surveillance, it take s some big balls to steal gas at a major airport. I was in Florida shooting cars for an auction company. They needed some quick shots to meet an ad deadline. One was a Mini CooperS. This is not a great photo, but the subject is cool. I had to push it myself to the closest decent location to get just a few shots of a car that has been parked in a museum for years. I'll be re-shooting it in a few weeks, when it is running and ready for a full photoshoot. It is Sir Paul McCartney's Mini CooperS, Radford Conversion. One was made for each member of the Beatles. When I go back to reshoot it, I do intend to drive it. CD
Replaced the post cat O2 sensor. Took way too long too figure out the 2 electrical connector releases. Once I got that sorted, the job took 10 minutes to replace the old one with the new NTK sensor. Upon starting the car, the CEL immediately went out. In case you're curious, it was the 0138 code, short circuit in the O2 sensor. Tried clearing it 4 times among resetting adaptives, but it wouldn't clear. At least it gone for now.
Yesterday, put GIR up on jacks to investigate a little rattle I have been having. Found that a bolt had worked itself loose from the rear caliper. Glad it was $2 fix and not another $200 one.
Got tired of the armrest cover sliding back all the time, so took it off and applied some Gorilla Super Glue Gel to the bumps near the front of the lower track, one drop at a time to build it up a little. Had to take it off so that I could let it lie on its side so the glue would set without running the wrong way. Now it closed MUCH more securely. Hope it lasts. If not, will try a different glue next time. Also booked service for yearly inspection, and while it's in there will have them work on the sunroof (doesn't always close easily), install rear HSport Comp bar, and Powerflex front control arm bushings (before the almost 10 year old oem ones bite the dust). Put rear mud flaps on last week. Ordered front mud flaps. MINIMania says they'll fit a JCW Clubman although other sources say not. We'll see.
I had the same problem with my armrest a few years ago and used epoxy to seal my armrest closed. I like it for resting my arm on long trips and not for storage.
