Yesterday I was gonna wash her but didn't, Instead checked fluids and gave the engine a once over. Whilst just tinkering around I noticed I was able to wiggle the rod connecting to the waste gate and it felt like it was lose. This is my first ever turbo car, is that normal? Should I tighten it?
So, today I drove John Lennon's last car, a 1979 Beige Mercedes 300TD Station Wagon. Another snoozer. But, Baby I just drove his car, I didn't get to drive it far, not likely that I'll be a star, but I did make some money. Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, yeah. CD
I cleaned my windows today. Oh and I picked up a set of Brembo front brake calibers. Bigger brakes for the Dragon next year. yippie !
Finished fine tweaking my alignment today, which went much better than the other day. Now have -0.5 camber both front wheels with 1/32 total toe in and a straight steering wheel, -1.5 camber both rear wheels with 1/32 total toe in and thrust angle about 0.
Yup I just need to pick up solid large rotors an new SS lines. I am not going to run the OEM drilled and slotted ones. The G-Locks will make more of a difference than the rotors. I am not tracking the car so no need for those “fashion” OEM drilled and slotted rotors.
Ordered some new control arm bushings. Shouldn't be all over the road again. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Post a pic.. my gut says that rod maybe the tensioner for the blow off.. but mine is a forge.. and I don’t know the factory.. but I do have a Bentley manual so can look it up.
It is, you should still have that rod (I think). It's the rod connecting to that valve to the exhaust side of the turbo on the front side below it (facing you as you're looking at the engine from the front).
I hate that emissions crap. Glad we dont have that here, where I live in GA. Had to deal with that when I lived in Oregon and Hawaii. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
