That’s what I’m counting on. I’m not in a big hurry, mainly because it’s too hot to ask my son in law to swap coil overs. Only problem is I have three or four people in line waiting for the BC Racing coil overs that the same SIL just installed a couple months ago. Oh well. If I only learned one thing in the years I spent in the USAF, it’s that I’ve gotta have something to bitch about, otherwise I’d feel “Abby Normal”. Hope y’all had a great weekend.
Sorry, I just saw your question today. No, it does not replace the own narrow band. The Innovative wideband has its own new bung before the CAT on my RMW header and is wired directly to my ViPEC ECU. I replaced the OEM ECU with the ViPEC. My Aquamist Meth kit is also directly wired to the ViPEC ECU and it also controls the meth system. I have twin maps now for just gas and gas + meth all at the touch of a button on the meth gauge while driving.
That's cool man. I was just curious what is out there as far as ecus and all. Good to know! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
One week before I join the Bacon Invasion - Rally to the West, my car crossed another mileage milestone. I was not able to stop at 250,000 because the bridge is 3 kms long. I had to wait until I got off the bridge and was able to pull over somewhere.
I drove back from Central Texas on I-35 today, AKA "NAFTA Highway." At least half of the vehicles on that road have 18 wheels. Both directions, BTW. My car was filthy. I got it washed, and cleaned the interior myself. Somebody opened their car door and left a mark on my driver's door, but it was their paint, so it hand-buffed out easily with some Meguiar's #7. I photographed a sweet car yesterday. A 1962 AC Cobra. It should fetch close to a million bucks in Monterey next month -- possibly over that. Shout out to a fiend, Jeff Snyder in Taylor, Texas, who did the restoration. CD
Will do, once it’s out of the shop - Some idiot went out of their way to hit me in an empty parking lot, drag their minivan down the driver’s side rear quarter panel while shoving me 2 feet to the left (I was not in the car) go over a barrier into a sidewalk, leave skids on said sidewalk, then go back over the barrier again into the parking lot and leave through the gate. Luckilly the damage wasn’t severe, since it was a slow long impact, and insurance is covering it, but sadly we weren’t able to get the license of the idiot who did it.
Ouch I'm sorry that happened to you. Even though you had bad luck you also had good luck. That could have been so much worse. A pox on the idiot who did that.
Sea foam treatment via BSH pcv vacuum port to delay the inevitable walnut blast further down the road. Half a can sucked to the intake manifold and put the other half in the gas tank.
Drove from Savannah, GA to Hampton, VA, for the weekend. Drove excellent and hit 223,000 miles on the way up. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
My MINI is at home, in it's garage. I drove a rental to Shreveport to photograph another English car, a 1968 E-Type. And what a car it is. Only one owner since new. Judged perfect over 36 times with 100.00 point scores and reigning JCNA North American Concours d' Elegance Championship Class Champion for last 12 years. It won over 55 JCNA Concours d' Elegance "Best Jaguar in Class" and 16 "Best in Show" Awards. I have photographed a lot of E-Types. This is the best one I have EVER seen. Look at the shut lines. Every body panel lines up perfectly. That is somewhat rare on old E-Types.
That's a handsome car. More than likely it is much much better than when it rolled off of the line in Coventry.
P2402 code several times in the last week (Evap Emissions leak detector pump control circuit high) Comes back after a while after clearing the code a few times now. Gas cap recently replaced and is sealing ok. Checked out the hose connections to the pump and the charcoal canister and the electrical connection to the pump. The latter doesn’t click in well and might not have been making a full connection. Will see if the code comes back again. Have the Bosch brand of the dmtl pump ordered as it’s not very expensive.
I know you have checked some of this but incase you don't have this diagram I thought I would post it.
Today nothing with the Mini's. Wednesday I did wash the Helmet and put it up in the garage under its cover. Thats brings me to a complaint. We have new neighbors across the street, nice people. They have 4 kids like me and there for are car poor. I am glad I am not the only one. Anyway the city came through and patched the potholes and repaved the whole neighborhood. Nice clean smooth. So the guy across the street puts in a circular driveway last week. The workers made the whole cove muddy I mean where you couldn't see the pavement. You know how long it took cleaning mud from the Helmet. I have been gone 3 days and its still a mess. I know I am a grumpy old man! but when they put in the driveway the workers pressure washed their driveway out in to the cove. I wish they would have washed the cove down just a little. No the rain is not getting rid of it. End of rant!
Thanks! That diagram is way better than what I could find in my Bentley manual. BTW, the light and code are back again already.
