Oh, without a doubt. But, that is true of almost every car from that era. When people say, "they don't build cars like that anymore," I respond with, "it's a good thing they don't." Restored classic cars are the real version of what we remember them being, even though they weren't. CD
I am a foodie, and love to cook -- and I am known to cook some fancy food from places like France. But, I love me some Waffle House for breakfast. I sit at the "bar" so I can watch the fry cook do his magic. Scrambled eggs cooked in real butter!!! Sorry, I zoned out, what were we talking about? CD
I spent the day at the British Car Show. There were a whole lot of nice cars and, of course, I forgot my camera. Peppurr came in 1st. in her class and got a trophy...not really a big deal as there were only 4 cars in her class...but still...
It hasn't rained in weeks here, but I drove to Kroger today, and it rained. Not enough rain to do any good, but enough to get my MINI dirty. So, my yard is turning brown, and my MINI is dirty. Grrrrrrr. CD
Took GIR to get an alignment, wanted some negative camber out of the rear, would like to get a little more wear out of them. It's like driving a totally different car , I am not sure how long this adjustment is going to last.
I got a little curb rash on one of my wheels and I took it in to be repaired. While I was there, I saw that they were 'pinstriping ' a solid line on the wheel. I thought it looked good so...
Installed a dash cam and this weekend will install one in the rear window. This AM I had a fun little run into work and get to leave ASAP after I do some testing (got here at 6, leaving at 7, fingers crossed) due to ComiCon starting today and my office building is right in the middle of down town ATL. Traffic and people will be INSANE today.
I think this is the first time I have seen wheel strips on MINI. They must have opened the bonnet and noticed the pinstriping.
Yesterday I had a new windshield put on my wife's R57. I thought I was picky! She was holding me accountable if they messed it up. They did a very good job. I used Safelight I get to live another day.
Took my car out for a run today and the AC compressor took a crap and ate the belt. Oh well, parts don't last forever so it’s time to replace the 13 years old compressor and put on a new belt.
