Washed off all the bug splatz and did a detail on the wheels. Tried the WD40.... Yep, it works great on getting the brake dust off... Great suggestion Wes...:D

    NM RSB End Links

Installed those NM RSB end links. Took most of the day as the OEM ones had been grossly over torqued after being coated with a 1/4 cup of Locktite. OK, I like taking breaks, too. Only had time for a brief test drive, but I like what I'm feeling already. Suspension seems to be reacting faster. Guess I'll be forced to hit the canyons tomorrow for a better evaluation, lol. BTW, the rubber bushings on the stock links were about gone after 50K. If your worried about squeaky Heim joints, NM puts a fairly thick Teflon sleeve between the ball and race of their joints. Dead silent so far.

NM is the best IMHO. I've been using their parts for 2yrs (see sig). Everything always fits and does exactly what they say it will do if not more. They cost more, but the caliber of their engineering, manufacturing and materials is top notch! Now to decide wherther to put their end links on the front, too.

Drove out to Lewisgburg to visit the mom this weekend. Just hours after my return yesterday, the MINI was washed :biggrin5:

Good work! Remember: You passed the other driver, not the car. That's MORE important.

I did similar at Buttonwillow and spent my day passing guy/gals driving: Mustangs, Evos, 3-Series BMWs, S2000s, Miatas, Shelby Cobra Replicars, WRXs, and an MGB GT! :eek6:

Pretty cool to see him out there tearing it up in the MGB GT though.

    Got some new wheels.

Got some new wheels. Drag R-19's 17'' a cheaper version of the mini r90's which are 3,400. Drags were less than 2 grand with tires.

Did some serious canyon carving this AM and found that yesterday's "feelings" were right. The suspension IS reacting faster! Got home and ordered NM's links for the front. Gotta keep it all in balance you know. NAM has them on sale w/free shipping right now. Occasionally you get lucky, lol.

For 4 years of so now I've been wanting to put a small hood over the heads up type display sitting on my dash to stop the night time reflections. Today I finally started working with a metal shop to have one made.

Went to my dealership today and had my iPod interface cable swapped out for one that worked (since it died mid-note).
Quickest visit ever! Was in and out of the dealership in 15 minutes!

Got the new rubber (Hankook Ventus V4 in 205/50R-16) scrubbed in a bit more and double checked the torque on the lugs since I swapped wheels & tires over the weekend.

What did you use to get the tar off? I haven't tried it, but I hear that WD-40 works well.

I used Goo Gone on the tire. That was the hard part. The paint was cake- I got so much wax on that thing it could re-enter the atmosphere
