Took Scooter up to Estes Park via Left-Hand to Ward, Peak to Peak to Hwy 7, Hwy 7 to Estes Park, played in the city a bit, took Hwy 36 to Lyons then home. Super nice twisty mountain drive. Don Scooter enjoyed it too.
Took Kasper north to the Missouri River then followed the river west to North KC, stopped at Casino, WON , found alt route home, drove it like I stole it.
Put a brake light flasher from Outmotoring in Babs Clubster brake light. I highly recommend installing one if you don't have one already. MINI Cooper Brake Light Pulsar
Installing an I/C muffler delete that has been sitting in my garage since November. I'll post pics when I'm done.
Took it for a nice drive in the country this afternoon. Enjoyed the symphony of sounds coming from the NM Exhaust...
Gave mine a bath and cleaned the wheels up. Then took a nice ride around Columbus with the windows down and the radio playing. Man did it feel good to be out in the MINI today....
What I do... Missed mine, it was a such a nice day that I'd have gone for a drive in the hills.. Oh well, went for a good long walk instead.
I looked for it on SailWX, or rather, the MV Tirranna on which it's sailing at the moment. No postings, so it's presumably in the mid-Atlantic, on course etc. It's due in Baltimore Thursday night, so about Tuesday or so it should start showing up the coastal AIS info / tracking sites again. Reading up on MINIs in the meantime, today's topic: detailing tools and tricks!
I went through a tank of gas since Thursday..... Got the windows tinted Saturday: Today I drove all over doing Maid of Honor duties. Ryu got quite a workout. Managed to lose a Mustang on some backroads, and played with an Evo existing off the turnpike :cornut:
:cornut:Hopefully we've all told you before that that is ONE GORGEOUS (BRG) MINI! She has Charisma in Spades. Jason
I've got a lot of plans immediately following the Dragon, so I've got mods to look forward to when all the fun is over
Washed the Winter sludge off and removed some of the tar spots, then Quick detailed. I really have a full days worth of work ahead me to get the paint back in shape, but for now she looks good at 10 foot. Wish the winter slug would open.
Yep... those Winter Slugs are HUGE! Here's one the size of a classic Mini! On a slightly related topic: The internet is simply amazing. How did I know that if I typed "Slug MINI" that it would return a result like this?
Ordered the Bavarian Technic Scan tool and diagnostic software today, can't wait to be able to work on both my Mini and BMW with it!!!
LMAO...yes and no, I had it out with the local BMWCCA because they devoted two pages to a BMW finishing 20th in a race when in the same race a Mini finished second and they said not one word.... I sent them a kind email asking why no coverage and I was given the kiss their BMW butt brush off. Had been a supporting member but I have not renewed my membership since. PS: This was just after the president in the national magazine was asking for help and ideas on how to stop a declining membership. The magazine does devote space in every issue to the Mini Cooper. Local folks said they didn't have a problem with membership.....
