It seems like every time I fix a leak another one springs up!

Last week when I had to take my battery out of the R53 I noticed it is now 5 years old. I know everyone’s wants to know what brand it is..............

Well I hope your sitting down

Walmart. I was in a hurry and got the cheapest one they had.:D
Glad your Mini is back on the road @vetsvette, one step closer to being ready for the Dragon!

Oil and filter change (every 5K miles).
OEM filter and a mix of Amsoil 5w30 XL
(has an HTHS of 3.3, almost A3 spec,
and a good VI, and SN+), and Mobil 1
10w30 HM (only SN+ oil with A3/B3 spec
that I know of). Going with SN+ oils this
time because they’re supposed to be
good for gas DI turbo motors, and I get
an occasional knock code (but no CEL).
I’ll be topping off with the M1 in the
warmer months, and with the Amsoil
in the cooler months, and no, I’m not
    worried about any weird voodoo
reaction from mixing oils this close
    to each other on properties.

Got up early and took my car down to the tireshop where I usually buy my tires. Switched out the winter wheels for the summer wheels. Had them to a front to back rotation. All for $20 and in and out in 20 minutes. I would be lucky to be out in 2 hours if it were a Saturday.

New water pump & coolant flushed and replaced.... should I anticipate a new thermostat in the near future...?

I believe there is an extended warranty on that for 100k. I have a letter from MINI covering mine.

Maybe. On my 2012 R58 I just did the thermostat it has 57k on it but my 02 R53 with 170k still has the original one.

Ummm.........I think Dave has a Coke problem.

    Intervention needed?

I am thinking a nice set of shelves would solve that problem........

Dave has an OCD problem :) Even without a car, his garage is so clean and detailed with everything is in its proper place that it looks unused. But, we all know that's not true. It's just OCD I say...:)

"Deluded"..... is that when the MINI has finally polished off your stash of 'Ludes from your younger, wreckless, party days?!

Try diluted next time, you ogre.

I have done nothing to my MINI's today, still on the road. The parts I needed for the R53 have arrived. I know because I my ring camera alerted me when the UPS guy showed up. I looked at the camera today and there still sitting there after two days, need to let the wife know there out there. Thanks Outmotoring! The R58 is still sitting in the parking lot at your under the approach end of 18 Left getting jet exhaust spewed all over it.

That is not the Coke I had in the 80’s. That’s my wife’s Liquid coke.

The dirt on my car is because it has been sitting in my garage while I have my front bumper our being repainted.

Making some last minute organizational updates.

For any of you in the Pacific Northwest, there is a MINI gathering at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in North Delta (Suburb of Vancouver BC...Canada) at Scottsdale Mall at 9:30am tomorrow morning (Saturday, March 30, 2019).
Not sure how many will show up. Those of you in the Eastern side of the continent, if you start driving now, you can still make it. In last year's Bacon Invasion, a pre rally to MTTS, Two cars made it from Quebec to Vancouver in 24 hours.
