My house is about 95 years old with steam radiators, no A/C, and no garage, but I still find time to work on my MINI and my wife’s car at curbside for most things.
Love it, perfectly placed. Does not obstruct the radio. Took it for a test drive and passed the test over one rough patch of road I go through on my daily commute. The mount was solid. I purchased it on ebay but it's easier to to go through his FB page. https://www.facebook.com/tinymods/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Great, thanks. The FB pics don't show a magnetic mount....better than the clamp. Do they offer that? Sent from my SM-G970F using Tapatalk
It came with the clamp but it will fit most 16mm ball & socket style which seems to be the standard universal size. So I just used the magnetic mount from my other one I had. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
A few of my double pane windows are fogged, but that's going to have to wait. My current job is replacing all the fences that fell down because the wood posts rotted out. I have done one, so far, and it may outlive me. Galvanized steel posts, all cedar lumber, and stainless steel screws -- no nails. Right now, my MINI just fits in the garage. But it is in there, and safe from Spring/early Summer North Texas weather, which often includes large hail. I need to detail it, but that will also have to wait. Right now, I just take it to the car wash when it is dirty. It needs an oil change, and one of my customers, RAC Performance, owes me some favors, so I can get the oil change for free. It is also fun to see what they have in the shop and used car inventory. The last time I was there, they had a brand new Ford GT in for a full XPEL wrap. CD
Yesterday I washed the R53 and put it away in the garage. Then changed the oil and rotated the tires on the Helmet. While the wheels were off I washed the suspension, brakes and the rims. Today I washed the Helmet.
Been missing from M/A the last week because I have been out motoring. I drove the Pacific Marine Circle from Sooke BC to Port Renfrew BC, Botany Bay. Then through the middle of Vancouver Island to Lake Cowichan and pass by the Vancouver Island Motorsport circuit. I counted 238 turns and pretty sure I missed a bunch. Then there are all the elevation changes. This is a great drive for MINI drivers who might not want to track their car at the Motorsport circuit but want a really fun road to motor on with some stunning scenery. The route itself is fully paved. Running along the west coast of Vancouver Island, and then through the middle over the mountains. There is no mountain pass. This is essentially a paved logging road. Since, for this trip, I drove the Countryman, there was the option of checking out how good this All4 system was. It was fun! Nobody on the road. No cell phone coverage, no internet, no electricity. Just motoring!
I did a high speed drive in the helmet with my wife for about two miles today. I nearly caught up to the cops in front of me. we were headed to the same place. My daughters wreak! She is ok I am not sure about her jeep. I got it home but the axel is bent. The other guy is ok he was very nice but I am sure they will total his Benz. It was my daughters fault.
Sorry about the accident Lee, glad everyone is ok. I put the GP grill on the TIE fighter. Changed oil in the Justa and gave it a good check. It needs an air filter too, and two of the screws into the air box are stripped. My son has destroyed the front air dam so I'll look for options there. Rotated the tires, they are holding up good. Purchased the airplane tickets to Memphis too, my youngest son and I will be there on July 5th!
