It's from amazon both the gun and foam attachment. Soap is just regular Griots Garage. I'm using it with a pressure washer though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Took the 12 Roadster And the 16 4 door into the free STL. MINI dealer check your car out, top up the fluids event. It was great Our tech. Did a wonderful job dealing with both of us at once
Took the Roadster and the 4 door into the dealer for their check up and top up fluids event. Both cars are doing fine, considering how few miles go on them. Spirited miles mostly
I received invitations to the grand opening gala of MINI Vancouver. What really happened was MINI Yaletown (in the Yaletown district of Vancouver BC) has closed and moved into the BMW Vancouver location and renamed itself MINI Vancouver.
Well, I went to the nearest liquor store to stock up for the weekend -- I live in the Bible Belt, so you have to drive a ways if you want to drink. The parking lot was a nightmare, being a weekend in the Bible Belt. I was backing out, and a guy in an SUV was backing out opposite of me. We didn't see each other and our cars kissed. We mostly just swapped a little paint. My car polished out pretty completely. There is a tiny, tiny dent in the rear quarter panel. If you don't know it is there, you probably would not see it. We both owned up to our mutual mistake, shook hands and moved on. I have a couple of door dings that I want to get removed by a paintless dent repair shop. I will probably have them do the tiny dent at the same time. CD
I worshed the MINI with my new Griots Foam Cannon, It works pretty good. I bought the starter kit, https://www.griotsgarage.com/product/boss+foaming+system+starter+kit.do?code=PPCPLG&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp8OR0LqN4wIVlcpkCh2rkw1REAQYASABEgIv_PD_BwE it came with the foam gun, a bottle of foam gun soap and a bottle of foam on wax as well as a big microfiber towel. There was some dried on bird shit on the side rear glass that I had to rub off with the towel, but I am satisfied with the job it did. I have a big 4400 psi, 4 gallon/minute Simpson pressure washer, the wand on it is 31" long, so the foam gun was way out there while I was washing. I ordered an adapter from Amazon that will eliminate the wand and put the foam gun right at the trigger assembly. This thing would be great for washing something tall, like a recreational vehicle.
Replaced a completely faded rear half door MINI wing badge and ordered this Wiechers lower xbrace (will take a month to get here):
When you use a foam gun don't you still have to wipe down the car? The other thing I was wondering about is does the hot sun dry the foam?
Foam and foam guns are for prewash. This is how they are meant to be used. You take a dirty car and rinse it. Then you foam the whole car and let it sit for 5-10 minutes and let the foam loosen the crud off your paint and you rinse again. After that is done you hand wash your car with auto soap then air dry with a leaf blower or any other air source and the towel dry the little bit of water left with a quick detailed as lube. Electric leaf blowers are great for getting water out of Grills, mirrors, trim, emblems door jams, brakes and rims. It also allows you to dry your whole car with one 16x16 MF towel. Remember the less you touch the paint with a un-lubed towel the less scratches you will have. Even microfiber towels scratch dry paint. Somehow over the past few year Foam guns have become more popular and people make YouTube videos of how to use them that are 100% incorrect. They should not be used to just spread carwash soap over a car so you can grab your wash mitt and start washing your car. I mean you can, but you will be using the dirt and stuff that the foam has loosened to clean your car. Remember you want you paint as clean as possible before you touch it with a clean soapy was mitt. You can also think if it this way, would you take a claybar to an unwashed car with all kinds of dirt on the paint ? NO You want the paint as clean as possible before you use a claybar or the clay will just capture the dirt and you will rub it into your paint and scratch the paint with every wipe of the claybar.
Gassed up my wife's S today at $3.05 per gallon. She only needed 6.5 gallons, but, starting Monday July 1st, there will be an additional 10.5 cent tax per gallon, which REALLY SUCKS!
I guess I should be grateful in a way. The original proposal was for an 18 cent tax per gallon, but it got lowered to "only" 10.5 cents per gallon. However, with all the crappy infrastructure in Ohio, I'm sure that lowered tax will get raised sometime in the future. Hopefully, i won't be driving then!
it's only losing if you live in Ohio and do not gas up today before the prices raise tomorrow and from now on! saving 10.5 cents/gallon isn't much but it IS a lot when filling up a MINI with Premiun.
