It is seriously HOT here. Not good turbo weather. My MINI needs a good wash, but I am in traveling mode, so it is going to be parked at the airport, where it will get covered in dust. I fly out to Philly on Friday. Then, out to San Jose.
It will be just as hot here in Philly but with HIGH humidity. Over 85% humidity, heat index will be 115.
Nothing mini. Sitting at the airport waiting for my ride home. The Helmet is sitting in the garage dirty and probably will till a week from Friday.
Crap. It is following me. I leave Philly on Monday, and the temperature drops 15 degrees on Tuesday. CD
It's everywhere my friend. Here in Southern Virginia. we're under a heat advisory and excessive heat watch until 2300 Sunday. Heat index 105º - 115º in the afternoons. I'll be sticking with the sofa and central air and my Suburban with the superb dual A/C systems for the duration of the heat wave. I've gotta book some time with my indi Mini tech for next month to get a couple of things done.
Got it out of the garage after ten days and put 70 miles on it up in the Catoctin Mountains, still pretty damn hot in the high 90's. The Indian gets out early in the am Saturday, haven't ridden it since Wed. morning, need to get my fix in.
Two weeks for me, I got the Indian out and road it to an appointment I had a low battery light all the way there. Its charged now. Pretty pitiful
It’s was too hot and humid today at 9 am in the shade. Took the MINI out for a nice ride and put her back in the garage. Maybe I will wash it tomorrow......
Nothing on the MINIs, I did water the flowers in the yard. Cooled down to the mid 80s today in Colorado, yesterday Denver hit 100. Is summer almost over?
I replaced the lights in the lightbar I use when towing, one of them lost it's LED mind, the other half of the LEDs had quit working. I'm hopeful this second set will last longer as the warranty is 90 days.
re-ordered a 3" polisher - Palm Beach Motoring Accessories sent me 3" pads and a 6" machine. Won't answer emails - I've sent it back and ordered direct from Griots. Got some Formula 4 spray wax I'm going to try tomorrow.
This damned hot weather has really put a stress on my S's tires...off to get air on Monday but til then, the R50 gets some miles. BTW, I'm about to get 30 k on the remanufactured CVT they put in a few years ago.
Was a busy day today. Solo-Werks S1 coilovers Eibach/SPC front camber plates Dorman Rear Lower Control Arms All engine mounts R56 trailing arm conversion In 100* weather All went smoothly until I realized R56 hubs take a bigger lug nut...quick run to AutoZone solved that Some nice looking welds from Solo-Werks, I think they get their cores from ST/KW: I have ST coilovers on my Mustang and quality looks exactly the same.
