Said fair well to our clubman. We had some good adventures with it. Nothing like an engine fire while driving to work...
Headed off to Discount Tire this morning for the seasonal tire change. Off with the summer shoes & on with winter boots. Super dooper Michelin IceX3 tyres.
High temp clear coated my new motor today while it is still on the engine stand. Also, this weekends full detail and Ceramic coating 2019 Acura MDC all Black with less then 100 miles on it showed up. It will be polished out with SONAX perfect finish on a Rupes yellow pad and double coated with Gyeon Prime. This car will be well taken care of and will be garaged every night. I will start stripping dealership sealants and stuff tomorrow at 3:00 pm while it is still light out. Little bit of dawn Nd Tide in a wash bucket does the trick. Then it’s inside for the weekend to polish out all the spiderwebbed paint from the dealership washing it with a BRUSH. WTF ! It’s a brand new car. Why they wash it with a dirty brush is beyond me.
Took my R50 to MAG today for an oil change and fluid check...WOW...first time EVERRRRRRRRRR that they didn't find a thing wrong other than the oil change!
The Insurance company was going to pick it up today from the impound lot. It'll be interesting to see if they can find out why.
Great choice of burn location, with a rack full of propane cylinders just a couple of yards over. Looks like it's a gas station, too. Real bummer when cars go up in smoke like that. Unless you have a fire extinguisher handy and are ready to unload it immediately, it's usually a lost cause. Your car will be on Copart in a few days, classified not running but rebuildable and people will bid big money on it. Wait, no, it's not a burnt Huracan or Hellcat (see recent YouTube rebuilds on either one)
It appears even low mileage 2006 and clean R53s are not making good value on BAT or maybe this is good value, thoughts? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-mini-cooper-s-32/?utm_source=dailymail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2019-11-22 67K miles Sold $8100, is that high money? Don
Heh. My wife thought it was overheating. So gas stations may have jugs of water or antifreeze. Good thing she pulled over sooner than later.
I look at all these auctions. This car sold higher than I think it should have. But it's BAT. The car looks like a kid owned it (illegal tint all around) and there's really nothing nice about it. 5K max would have been my bid. Good news though, as there's a remote chance I may be selling my daily driver next year. It just gained some value
