Yep. The claims inspector (or whatever he's called) went to the impound lot and wrote on his report "It's burnt. It's totaled"
Today I finally got around to making a template for my fog lights so I could add the black vinyl back to them. FYI ~ Aero bumpers had thin plastic insets the went in these holes but they are no longer available on earth. I had my inside MINI guy check North America and then he even did a global search. see pictures below:
I shopped for stickers just to piss Dave off... but seriously, I got it all put back together and took it for a test drive. Changed Supercharger Oil New Tensioner, Idler Pulley, and belt. New Motor Mount New Fuel Filter New Waterpump and thermostat Flushed Coolant Oil Change Cleaned Throttle Body Cleaned the intercooler and yes I cleaned that nasty engine bay.
Hello folks. I've been putting on more miles in rental cars lately than my MINI. Another #$%&*# gearshift knob top broke off yesterday. All four tabs sheared right off. GRRRRRRR. I did get to drive a new GT350 AND a new GT350R today. Not mine, and can't afford to bend one, so I didn't go nuts. Here is the GT350. The GT350R was black. Not dealer prepped yet, so the front splitter is in the front passenger seat instead of on the car.
The MINI was on day four as my camera gear hauler. Day five is tomorrow. There shouldn't be any stop-and-go Dallas traffic on a Saturday, so I won't be cursing my manual transmission choice. Soooo Dave, how would you like to detail a polished aluminum car? Lots of fun to photograph. (BTW, it is a real AC/Shelby Cobra, and yes, I drove it) CD
I would love to detail a polished aluminum’ car. I have the tools to do it. The best part about polishing that car is seeing the handsome guy doing the work in the reflection.
