MOTD 2020 registration done and lodging booked! Will be staying in a cabin on Lake Santeetlah this year. Tapoco is SO EXPENSIVE! I hate price gougers. I don't get it, I booked there last minute a couple MOTD's back (the no power at Fontana/rainy year) and it wasn't even half of what they're charging this year. Those renovations must be esspensive....
Going to have to add running the dragon to the bucket list of things to do. Not sure if my MINI will make it across the continent to do the dragon without having to spend a lot of time and money to fix up the engine and suspension and other old car things though.
GIR received some needed TLC this weekend. Friday night vacuumed and wiped down the interior. Saturday was a wash, clay bar and wax. Sunday was fluid check, wiper blades, OEM grill fitted and new GP decal for the scoop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have a 2012 R58 JCW N14 (Helmut clone) with a RMW tune done at the Dragon by Jan. I'm still running the stock JCW plugs in it. Found out that I need to go with a colder plug, Gen 2 experts, what plug should I get to replace the stock ones? Thanks.
I don’t remember what plugs I have in the Helmet, or if they are the correct ones. I will pull one when get home and let you know. You need to order a cat-less down pipe! Boy howdy!!! Did that make a difference! It’s very easy to put on and I did an article on how to keep it from throwing a code. I don’t have to go through inspection but if you do it’s worth swapping back for the inspection.
@minirab Looks like I have NGK ILZKBR7B8DG I believe these are the stock JCW plugs with a heat range of 7. What are you planing on using?
You want the same OEM NGK plug just one step colder than stock. I think they come stock with 8’s and Lee has the one step colder 7’s. Call Chad at Detroit Tuned and confirm. https://www.detroittuned.com/ngk-spark-plugs-g2/
Gave Bitsy her 135k oil change this morning, topped off fluids and gave the engine bay a lil wipe down. She needs a bath but it's too damn cold out.
OK, folks this one is nice, does anyone know the current owner or perhaps owned this when it was out east? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-mini-cooper-s-35/ Seems really low on bids, even though it is up in the miles but not for an 06! Lots of RMW goodies, if I had room. It is well kept. My second choice behing a 06 GP. Don
That is a very nice MINI! I wish I had room for it. "A dyno report from Helix Motorsports of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2010 is shown in the gallery." @Dave.0 Do you know this car?
I too the Helmet out for a ride today. It was nice to drive it after driving the truck for over a month.
