I finished up the garage upgrades today buy building the 3rd top black cabinet and hanging it. I can’t decide if I should add one more cabinet to even everything out for esthetics. I can always use more storage.
It’s looking good! Yes more cabinets. Looks like you have plenty of coke, do you have any rum to go with it? I’m always up for a road trip!
New Raceseng Stratose shift knob with perforated leather cover. I got the matching collar on the bottom, too. The edges on the top where the red paint ends were sharp and annoying, but I fixed that with some masking tape, sandpaper, and a small fine diamond file designed for smoothing chips on the rims of drinking glasses. I like it better than the Sphereology one I had before.
So last Friday I went to start the Helmet, it was dead as a door nail. Guess I need to drive it more but with the bad weather and being gone for the most part for 3 weeks it just sat in the garage. I took the battery out and put it on a charger.By Saturday I got it out and drove it around. Driving the truck for so long I forget how much fun it is to drive,
Washed my Cooper and my S over the weekend. I still need to clean out all the cigar ash and dog hair and window slobber from my S before heading to MOTD, and I need to get some mechanical work done at Best, too, in Columbus.
I dunno Dave, I think you need more lights.... Cabinets look nice, it will be great to have the extra storage, to get everything up off the floor and put away.
The lights are needed for curing ceramic coatings and warming the garage. I have had it up to 83 in the garage with just the lights on for a few hours. Everything is off the floor and put away now. That pile of coke is my wife’s area.
I am I am seriously jealous of the lights. I've got 4 fluorescent tubes on my 2 car garage ceiling... normal builder stuff. One of these days...
Lights are pretty cheap these days. I have a 5 twin bulb lights in our garage. With white ceiling & walls it's a lot of light. We also added a heater to keep things warm while doing car work in winter. For summer I leave the door open to the house & the AC from the house cools the garage to bearable temps. If I was doing it again I'd go with some 4 light fixtures. Although I don't need to cure sealer.
Our local MINI dealer ran a $20 oil change special today - they were swamped! I got mine done and a few things looked over, they replaced the battery/plenum cover for me for just the cost of the part. And of course, gave it a thorough bath and vacuuming. Great dealership!
Sounds like a great deal. I'd skip the dealer car warsh. Our dealer here uses whips & chains to beat the dirt off.
Used my R55 to cart 4 mounted loose tires/wheels, 4 unmounted tires (all 225/40/18) and a bare wheel to the local tire shop (plus the compact spare in the well) to swap to summer tires for my wife’s car. Pretty tight fit. Goodbye run flat P7 all-seasons (except for one I put on the bare wheel as a full size spare), hello Michelin Pilot Sport 4S!
No. The compact spare does. The other tires and wheels mentioned in my post above are for a 2020 BMW M240i Convertible with 6-speed manual transmission - a very sweet ride.
