There is a season? Can't go more than two weeks without an available track day down here. LOL. Besides, snow-tires + snowy/rainy track = Epic Hoonage :cornut:
Just wait till you move to TX, there is a Track Day season there with almost 0 dates from June through August.
(actually yesterday, getting caught up...) - took my brother-in-law for a first MINI ride, then put him behind the wheel. He "had no idea these had this much power!" - mounted my grill badge holder with my "1 YR" Motoring Alliance badge - tweaked my audio settings: HD radio, speed volume control, RDS - got rid of two-days worth of windshield bug sacrifices, and bought a new bug sponge - took my 15-yr-old niece for *her* first MINI ride (and got her to recant "these are so lame" afterwards) - waved to another MINI for the first time since picking mine up last Wednesday (no wave in return, just a puzzled look...I'll keep trying)
Keep trying most of the ones arround here have been friendly and waived back. We were driving in the residential area in st.charles Saturday and caught another Mini going the other way with a big wave!
I get about 10% of other MINIs to wave back, so sad! Mostly I get funny looks. Ah well, I'll get them to come around.
I was away for work since Thursday..... When I returned, a joint effort between some of my MINI peeps and my hubby led me to this: Blackened grille: Blackened boot latch: And my summer wheels and tires back on: GIDDYUP!
I took my MINI in to my dealer for its annual oil change and service. There was just 4000 miles since last year's oil change. I didn't drive it much this winter, the weather was too crappy! I even got some new windshield wiper 'cause the old ones were starting to streak. Everything was No Charge! Dave
Yea, well, I woulda clicked the like button on this but it seemed too much of a bother. Dang, two clouds floated by while I typed this and missed 'em both.
I have been driving Scooter in the summer/spring we have been having in Colorado. Today was in the 40s, so I went over and picked up my new summer tires put on the Challenge rims. Nitto Motivo 215/45/17, so far pretty impressed, very quiet considering the roads in Colorado. Might get to try them out in light snow in the AM. :cornut:
Put license plates on so it's officially legal to drive. Let my wife go to the DMV today so I didn't have too!
