Hey at least I own my mistakes and it was the 80’s. I know a lot of people that did all kinds of crazy drugs back in the day and now they act like they never touched anything.
The garage door still opens and I have fans. I really only use all of the lights At one time when buffing, applying coatings and curing the coatings. When the car is curing I am upstairs having a cold beer.
You forgot to paint the cabinets red to match your tool cabinets and your car. ....and your Coke bottles. Otherwise, I have garage envy now. It looks beautiful in your garage.
Took Lady Babs clubster to the touchless car warsh. I don't know how she gets her car so muddy. I suspect she is running rally's in it.
Was invited to the official local unveiling of the MINI Cooper SE. Reps from MINI Canada were present to answer any questions and such. The hor d'ouvres were good. They are sold out on their first official day of selling them, but taking factory orders now. You don't have to have the vomit green color mirrors and emblems. and you get to choose your wheels.
Last Thursday I drove the Helmet to work on a rainy day. Got home the rain had stopped so I gave it a much needed bath.
Sorry, guys and gals. I just cancelled my reservations at Fontana, as well as my participation this year at MOTD. My Cigar Salon will just have to take place next year and Fontana has already reserved my room. I'm 74, have had two bouts with pneumonia in the last few years, have A-fib with the possibility of a-fib-related stroke, and have dry eye and blurred vision. I am medicated for all of the above, but just do not want to tempt Fate this year, what with this suck ass virus running rampant. I hope y'all understand. Jeff
Take care of yourself Jeff, we all understand and want you in good health. You have yet to have your last Dragon Cigar Salon. See ya next year buddy.
Jeff, a very good call. I am a bit (not much) younger and I self-isolated 7 days ago with a cold (better now), no corona virus symtoms, but I managed to pass the cold along to my sweet wife. We are staying home and staying well. With the daily changing government rules and each state reacting as they should, lets all help out and control this before it controls us. I am doing my Dr. appointments a followup via tele-medicine, it seems to be working well. Just cannot get them to draw blood over the phone. Maybe Apple can work on that! Be safe, well and virus free. Remember wash your hands and maintain social distance. For those members young enough we will congratulate you in 9 months on the new arrivals. Don
I’m hunkered down and riding it out. After 2 stents, diabetes and 68 years on this planet, I tend to be much more careful than I used to be.
Thanks, Don! With all the restaurant closures, I am THRILLED that my wife is a great cook and baker! Staying at home isn't bad, and we still get to go to the now practically empty parks to walk my dog and get some exercise in the process. They were saying today that this might last until July or August before we start getting back to normal, as long as we stay healthy, pray, and keep sanitized.
Hard but good decision. I hope everyone can make it next year. I may go this year but I will not know till a few weeks before the Dragon starts. I hope they are wrong about the July-August time line. I don’t know about you guys but I’m going stir crazy already! I am ready to get the Mini out and do some driving! I spent an hour on my motorcycle the other day that helped. I hope everyone stays well
I'm glad I am retired...lots of time to take the dog out for walks, so I still drive a lot to those parks, walk myself and the dog, and then take a "scenic" roundabout way back home again. That said, we are usually alone and the fresh, unpolluted air cleans my lungs and keeps me healthy [I HOPE].
I'd love to see more of those vintage pics. I crewed for a guy who ran MIDV in the 80s with a GP Spitfire. Got to run Afton and Garnett in a Kart, I can't imagine trying to pass in a full size car on those tracks.
