New RMW BVH done and shipping to PA today. My car is off to a shop Sunday to have the new forged motor installed with TVS900 and 1000cc injectors.

The Angry Mistress is about to be born. :Devilish:

Dave.0 excellent, we must have pictures. Have the shop take a few or take them with your phone. :) :) Lets us know the HP after it is broken in properly.

2 things today, due to the lockdown in Colorado, I only drove my 16 CM to the drugstore on Thursday, my sweet wife drove her MINI to the grocery store for pickup after ordering online, our order was 1/3 less due to shortages, basic stuff, sad!

Walgreens was an ok experience, no kleenex tissues or TP, sad! I did get my necessary daily medicines. Soon I will have to sacrifice some old Dragon t-shirts, no not really. ;) :) ;)

Second item, today NADA, the Colorado ruling says we cannot drive up into the mountains for stress relief, my opinion, that is Draconian. Was hoping for a bit of the Peak to Peak Highway this weekend. We will see if they relax after April 11 or is it April 17 mixed information.

Take care, be well, a couple of my family nieces have tested positive with COVID19, a prayer would be appreciated.

    Don

Okay...I've been working from home for a full 2 weeks and only going out when I need to.

So last night, feeling somewhat claustrophobic, and getting temperamental with my family, I jumped in my car and went for a 2 hour drive on mostly empty twisty highways.

    I feel much better today.

I will have a JAN / RMW dyno tune done again when my motor is done and the 1000cc sculled. The motor is already broken in with just under 3,000 miles on it so it will be ready rip when it goes in. My buddy is doing the install and will take some pictures.

Don, prayers sent for your family.

Your family will be in my payers.

I am with you it is draconian not to let people drive up into the mountains. If you are in your car or on a bike you are not exposing anyone. I am starting to believe some politicians are abusing their power. It would appear we have let them have to much power.

Yesterday I took my old bike on a 40 min. ride. It looks like the generator is working!
Today I changed the oil in my wife's Mini and rotated the tires.

I'm at home, retired and bored to death since the tv shows over and over...suck.

I drive my MINIs to local parks so I can take my dog for a walk and I steer clear of other people and their pets while I'm there. I always take about a 45 minute drive home The only other places I go to are for gas, to the grocery, or for occasional carry out.

I'm looking forward to some days that I can take 2 of the MINIs out to get the snows off and the summer tires back on, but then, I'll probably get a coronary or a stroke, hauling the tires out of storage and lugging them to the cars for the change over. I am not looking forward to lugging the snows back to the storage rack and going through the whole thing again in late Fall. Thank God my R50 has all seasons and I only drive it in the wintertime when the weather and roads are dry.

Don, sending prayers to you and your family!

    Needing some Dragon Therapy myself!

Tomorrow in the 60’s here, time to change some stuff I changed for MOTD. Taking passenger seat out. Putting Mini Sleeping Pod back in, clothing system back in and final prepping for some (safe and social distancing) Dragon Therapy later in the week when the storm front goes thru! Tennessee side open!

Check Killboys site on FB or his web page. NC side is also open with a roadblock all they way down on 129 by Topoco whatever lodge is called.

    https://www.killboy.com/

    Road/area summary as of 3/24/20:

There are some rumors persisting that the Dragon is closed. It is not, and there are no plans at this time to do so.

The park service just announced that all areas of the Great Smoky Mountains national park will be closed with the exception of Foothills Parkway and the Spur.

The barricade photos going around are on 441 in Cherokee, over an hour away.

The town of Robbinsville is planning to shut off the roads into town Friday to non-residents, although they still haven’t worked out the logistics of how to do that as of yesterday, and that is in another state.

The closure closest to the Dragon (which is entirely in TN) is planned to be positioned at the intersection of 129 and 28 just south of the TOTD/Killboy and DGMR stores, in NC. So one can still come in from the TN side of the Dragon, and go all the way to the stores.

I realize there are people who have opinions on what we should all be doing, I’m not here to debate that, I am just stating the facts that people keep asking us about.

Please keep an eye on the
Tail of the Dragon, killboy.com, and Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort pages for accurate info. Thank you

Thanks Dave, yep, I am aware of current status. Deals Gap has gas, store is open and restaurant open for take out. No hotels/motels/campsites open! I believe I can make this plan work! (Safely and social distancing too)
