Wow, aren't YOU the bluebird of happiness? M/A, I thought, was a column for ALL Mini owners...both "Classic" and "New".
The pot calling the kettle black? I found it amusing, but I'm not quite right. If that had a German flag I could run one on my GTI.
We have talked about having them with an American flag and the other from different countries to pick from
Yeah, but if you remember the license plate on my R50, it says Welsh MINI. My roots are Welsh/German. The R50 was the first "new" MINI I bought and since it is part German but was being assembled in England at the time, it was only fitting that the car was named after the heritage of its owner, since Wales is a part of Britain, too. Besides that, I had a 1959 Morris Mini Minor [the first of the Minis], back when I was in high school in the early '60s.
The MK1 new MINI has an engine built in Brazil by an American company. The MK2 new MINI has a French engine. Man that badge is going to need a bunch more flags.
How about a world flag. We all live in it. Every single person does or did or will (so far). Choose one. I like the first one. Regarding WDYDWYMT, Increased rebound stiffness on front Koni Yellows by 1/4 turn each, and changed the 25.5mm hollow Comp bar from softest to medium setting for the warmer 2/3 of the year. I can feel a significant difference. It’s go-cartier.
Took off the snows and put on the summer tires on my S. Man, I had almost forgotten how responsive the summers are! Wife's car goes in next week for the changeover, I hope.
Donated to the Graham County [NC] Food Bank and to MOTD today. I also bought a t-shirt, so I never forget this year.
Took the Helmet out today for about a 45min drive. Radio off and windows down. With the RMW tune turned on the car sounds great. Lots of burble between shifts. With the Cat and resonator removed it is loud when pushed.
I used to love my Milltek with its resonator until it got damaged last year as i was driving through deep snow and ice ruts. I took the car to a generic muffler shop to get it fixed, but they didn't have a replacement resonator, so I had them cut it off and piece it back together. It still rumbles [just a little louder], however, and I still love that Milltek.
I still have the stock JCW muffler. Mark had deleted the resonator before I bought it from him. I have thought about getting a different exhaust.
It about killed me to have to cancel MOTD this year, because my Milltek is rattling around again and I wanted Chad to have a look-see. Sumpin ain't right. I need it fixed before heading back to the Dragon next year, so, when I take it to Best Motorwerks in Columbus to get a crapload of other things done, maybe Anson [the lead mechanic there] can figure out what's going on with that cat.
Well, Summit Racing Equipment is hopping! I am still on temporary leave (55 years old and working Retail Customer Service, I will let the young people get their hours in and just be smart about staying home). Had to run to the “curb pickup” for some brake fluid for my wife’s Austin Mini. Now out and about!
