No its not on your end. @colinmini Did you use the upload file button? it looks like your file didn't load.
Walked the dog...twice to 2 different parks and put about 40 miles on my S...great day for a drive and the dog seemed happy, too, after marking his territory during his time at the parks.
Not going to Fontana for a while. The 1000 cc injectors are scaled, but I have kind of a mild tune on it right now. The car is just mean and angry with lots of power and huge Tq gains. The boost jumps to a little over 18 PSI and it pulls strong but I have not went over 5500 RPM’s. When you coast and then hammer down it pushes you into the seat nicely. I just picked up two or three hours ago and it still has A/S ‘winter’ tires on. Tomorrow will be wash it down and swap on my Lighter & Grippy Summer wheels. Oh one thing I did add to this build was a craven speed shifter clip pro. Yes it says only for 2nd gens an above, but it fits perfectly. This gets rid of the loose shifter side to side movement when you are in gear. It tightens everything up like a real old school shifter locked into gear. It you like Honda, Porsche, Viper, Ferrari tight shifters you must get this mod. This is how every MINI should come standard. https://www.cravenspeed.com/shifter-retaining-clip-pro-for-mini/
Thanks Dave! I’ll try a different browser. When I tried to fix the link it just gave me a file number.
@colinmini are you stilling tires of that Subaru? I don’t think they will fit your mini! You should be ashamed
Lmao! Sorry, no selling. My friend had Achilles tendon surgery 8 weeks ago. She has been cooped up well before the Pandemic! Changed out her Bridgestone Blizzaks for her all-season wheel/tires Hopefully her doctor will clear her to drive Monday. Her R56 S(N18) autox/track MINI is in the garage!
Drove the Helmet to work. Got home and my younger son was waiting on me. It’s good to have him home for a few days. He drove his S2000 home so we could buff and seal it. He ordered a exhaust for it and had it shipped to me, we are hoping to get it this week and install it before he goes home Friday. It’s raining here so we washed it in the ran then put it in the garage and clayed it. Hopefully we will get the rest done tomorrow. It will be raining the next couple days so I guess we will be washing in the rain one more time. This all means the Helmet is sleeping in the rain.
Heck Scott it's easy, just jack it up remove the bolts & swap tyres. Headed over to my drug connection yesterday & when done Lady Babs & I took a nice relaxing drive on the country roads north of us. I figured the MINI could use a drive to limber her up.
It can all be done from the top without dropping the exhaust. I did not do it myself my buddy did it for me while he had my car. He said It was simple.
yesterday.....Took the wheels off my sons S2000. as soon as we got them in the truck for me to take to Discount auto for some new Conti DWS, FedEx pulled up with my sons new exhaust. That was unexpected. I noticed it needed new brake pads on the rear. Dropped off the rims and went by the parts store for pads. Got home and we started on the exhaust. As you would guess a 20 yearly exhaust fought us the whole way, brut force won the day. Son took my truck to pick up the new mounted tires as I did the brakes. time for a quick dinner. Then a buffing using some Sonax it really made the paint look great. Next we applied the Jet coat sealer. That had to sit on the car about 20min. so we used that time to put the wheels on the car. we removed the the sealer and it was time for bed. Started at 9:30 and finished at 11. I woke up in the middle of the night sore all over. I may be getting to old for marathon sessions Pictures?? I forgot to take one. I am getting old
Well my wife is smarter than me she snapped some pictures. This is what the paint looked like before. P.S. anyone want a mustang??
